the truest freesia

Spring seems so very far away! I need freesia and lily of the valley to help me through this final wintery trek. My top lily of the valley is Diorissimo. What about freesia? Chanel Beige is fantastic but any greener suggestions?

Ofresia by Diptyque

I've never smelled it, but I've heard good things about it. One of DustB's favorites.

Chanel Beige has freesia?

Oh, I guess it does. I must try both these! I've been wondering about more freesia scents myself, and typng 'freesia' into the directory search doesn't bring up either of these.

I have a sample of Ofresia and it is a very true freesia indeed - you could maybe almost call it a soliflore - it immediately jumps out at me as the one to mention.

Just by pure coincidence I am wearing Freesia
by Crabtree and Evelyn as my Scent of the Day.
It is very true to the flower but has minimal lasting power.

Hi lovethescents - only just noticed you are the topic starter - doh!

I researched some freesia scents for a friend who only wears Armani Diamonds at the moment, and likes the freesia note in that.

I found the following scents also with discernible freesia:

Tous Touch (very pretty, mainstream)
CdG Lily (that's the Leaves series, I think)
OJ Sampaquita (that pesky niche co again that are so hard to come by!)
Kate Moss Velvet Hour!

I have yet to get her to try them, mind...

Soapwise, I can recommend the Taylor's soap - have some on the go at home in fact! Their lily of the valley one is a bit pungent, but the freesia is nice. You have the lotion, right?

Antonia's Flowers is supposed to smell like "living" freesia.

Hi lovely VM, I have a sample of Ofresia as well but there's something synthetic about it. Maybe my sample is turning but it isn't quite the solifloric experience I was hoping/looking for. I need more green and dew, if you catch my drift :-)

Now this is interesting. I haven't tried many of the Crabtrees. I'll have to look into that and thank you!

Thanks for all that research. Velvet Hour?? I don't detect freesia at all! Just lots of fuzzy peaches and possibly some ripe raspberries. Maybe the fruits ate the freesia :-i

Will check this out as well. Thanks for the advice, the "living" part is especially appealing
