Whoa, Charger, what a coincidence! I'm wearing it too. The neat thing about the chest hairs and Quorum is that after once the first use makes the hairs grow, the second use, sprayed on said hairs, eats them like acid. Third use grows the hairs back again, and so forth.

Satellite Padparadscha. I have a strange, on again off again love relationship with this one. I think it's the musk, which is sometimes just too much for me in any fragrance. Today I'm loving it.
Notes from Luckyscent: amber, musk, cedar, sandalwood, juniper, pepper
And the bottle, just because it's so pretty:

Haha, that's hilarious.

I'm reveling in Diptyque L'eau thanks to the wonderful Riannon -- I know this is modeled on a 16th century potpurri (I was originally worried about smelling like a pomander ball!), but I just love it. My own dear daughter caught of whiff of me this morning and said, "Oh, WOW, that's good!"

L'eau notes: Clove, cinnamon, ginger, pink peppercorns, geranium, lavender, orange blossom, benzoin balm, tonka bean and patchouli.

This evening I sampled some Mitsouko, just to see if it would work for me as it seems to do for so many guys here, but alas, it just doesn't go well for me...

Romeo Gigli Sud Est (discontinued)

I really like this one. I wonder why I don't see it more often on the forums. Is it because it's hard to find? My bottle is getting really really low.

Lez Nez Turtle Vetiver - Today's wearing gave me echoes of Sycamore - albiet with a subtle difference. A very good one IMO.

Newly arrived and fabulous Balmain Ambre Gris

And actually a few sprays of Balmain BalMan on my arm to test (thanks again SB!). It seems like a spitting cousin to A*Men.

edit - Scratch the A*Men reference to BalMan... turned out the sample was labeled wrong. I think it is A*Men.

After a late shower, it was M7 off to dreams.

Today, I wore my second sample of a somewhat old school vibe fragrance with has turned out to be a quite pleasant suprise:

Carroll & Co. Signature Cologne

Again, I would characterize this fragrance as a fresh, or zesty masculine with a quality dry down. It is no way cheap, synthetic, or pardon me, Walgreens-esque in any way. It is a high quality composition in my view.

However, the to my door price from Carroll would put this juice at $64 USD which puts it squarely in competition with so many, many other offerings that might be more suitable wardrobe candidates.

So once again, nice for a sample, but full bottle worthy? At this point I doubt it, but it was a very nice surprise of what turned out to be a quality gentleman's fragrance.

I hope Everyone had a Great Thursday!

I'm running late for this thread, but it's not technically midnight yet...

Today, I tested Jo Malone Sweet Lime & Cedar.

According to the marketing materials, this one is inspired by Thai food.

First spray: lime, coconut milk (not coconut like tanning lotion, but coconut milk specifically), very light jasmine, and a hint of sweet cedar in the back.

Given a bit of time, the jasmine fades and a light star anise comes up, making it smell, with everything combined, exactly like a bowl of Thai green curry.

To be honest, it's kind of a hot, creamy mess. But so is Thai green curry...

A new direction for gourmand? Or just a fruity floral gone horribly wrong?

Six of one, half a dozen of the other...
