Versace Man .......... Where were you hidin !!!!!!!!!!!!

Yesterday I had the honour to smell Versace Man and My God what a lovely scent
I've never been in love from the first sniff before ... but this time it happened it didnt take more than a moment to say to myself this is how I want to smell this is what I want people to get when they be close to me .... but then the tragedy came ,It's light and subtle which is the most thing I hate in the world of fragrances and their stupid creators .... tragic end
the only hope now to find an other fragrance that smells the same with much beter sillage and longevity
Any suggestions guys?




Till I find it I will stick with JOOP!

I'm also a fan. I don't have any other suggestions though. Contrary to others' opinions I dig the bottle too!

it was my SotD today! it does last for awhile, but after the first 2 hrs, it stays pretty close to the skin. Still though, I like it, blind bought it.

dude theres nothing light or subtle about versace man. unless you mean versace man eau fraiche? the regular versace man is super thick, sweet, and heavy.

I hope so .......... I meant the regular versace man maybe because I tried it once only but i read the reviews and some said it's light
If there is no decent substitution I'll purchase it

Man, nothing's as loud as Joop! or A*Men! You could try doubling up the dosage with Versace Man maybe?

I also love Versace Man! I searched months for a bottle locally after it was taken out of Sephora. Finally found the smaller bottle for $34 or so. Awesome purchase. This one wears really heavily on me and lasts all day and into the evening. But overspraying makes it seem stuffy or musty to me. Couple sprays to the chest is enough. Women really like this one too! Great stuff as is Joop!

heavy, sweet, and spicy.

versace man eau fraiche is


citrus, fresh, fruity

versace pour homme is


citrus, fresh, woody

Neither, it's not a scent you're gonna find at Macy's or Sephora, which both stock Versace Man Eau Fraiche (blue bottle), and Versace Pour Homme.

The original Versace Man is in the same bottle as Eau Fraiche, but its a purple, rather than blue.

Stalker, pretty much all of your posts here are complaining that things dont last long enough, or asking for suggestions for things that smell similar but last longer. If your in a cooler climate chances are your skin will dry out meaning that frags last less time on you, since your skin is more likely to absorb the oils. Some people are also just prone to dry skin.

I'd suggest trying rubbing some unscented moisturiser (nivea, unscented Palmers cocoa butter, etc) where you are intending to spray frags about 5 minutes before applying em. It should make them last alot longer & be more noticable! Another thing you can try is Dove moisturising soap, which has got lotion in it.

magnetism isnt as "thick", its missing the heavy woody and tobacco notes. magnetism just shares the sweet topnotes in common, and ends up smelling like cherry/vanilla coke

I tried it before .It was nice (not the opening) but didn't impress me the way Versace Man did
