I am looking for a really forward but complex musk. Dirty, sexy, and warm. I love Muscs Koublai Khan but that fecal smell last too long on me. Any other suggestions? I am sick of all the light, powdery musks I have been trying.

Kiehl's Original Musk is quite good. Most everyone around here recommends the oil over the EDT for "raunchiness", but I can still recommend it having only tried the EDT.

Kiehl's, I heartily second that. I have some samples around here somewhere and every time I put it on, I have to laugh a little because I'm thinking, "I took a shower and got awfully clean to smell this dirty."

I think you'll like it. We had a thread about it here started by a woman who said she was about to jump the guy she smelled wearing it on the train.

Musc Ravageur had a lot of big sticky orchids in it to me. Some wet vanilla flower. I didn't find it particularly musky.

I've been looking for a great musk myself lately and sampling a bunch. If you're not averse to spending money, I just tried Nasomotto's Silver Musk today and it was awesome. Also great are the two by Santa Maria Novella - Musk and Gold Musk (Muscio). For not a lot of money but high quality, try Sonoma Scent Studio's Sienna Musk.

For my money, Royal Copenhagen Musk is the one. It was developed when the musk craze was strong and so, IMHO, smells like a musk should smell. Relatively simple, clearly well blended, but also enough complexity to maintain interest.

I'll third Kiehl's Musk! It was my SotD today, and I'm very fond of it.

Also, T. Rex, if you'd like to smell dirty while getting clean, the Kiehl's Musk shower gel is great too.

Kiehl's is the reference Musk, in a good way.
I also like the musk in Himalaya.
Although it's not brash or forward, even though it's Creed's strongest Musk imho.

i love mure et musc extreme....i have 3 bottles....dont ask.....it kinda smells girlish but its one of those smells that when its on you...you cant stop smelling yourself.

go with bbBDs examples.....silver musk is the best musk i have ever smelt. is smelt a word? or a fish? silver musk is incredible.

Narciso Rodriguez - for Him is one of the best in my opinion. Though, it's not really warm.

I am not sure about the dirtyness, but Helmut Lang edP is really warm, sexy and unique (to me). I haven´t tried the edC.

Kiehls seems to have great support in this thread. I find it not as sensual as Musc Ravageur or as raunchy as MKK. Still it's cheap, wears close to the skin and it's quite nice so why not try it?

I would skip Musc Ravageur EDP and either try Musc Ravageur oil or head straight for these:

Kiehls Musk
Lutens Musc Koublai Khan
Lutens Claire de Musc (naked white musk)

I don't know if this is what you had in mind, but, I tried the Amouage Lyric for Women and it is a rich complex fragrance heavy with dirty musk. I imagine the men's version would be similar.
Also 'The Party in Manhattan' is a complex dirty musk. these are both quality scents that are too much musk for me. I do think they are well constructed, however.
