Basenotes March Madness 2009
Games 29-32
(Round 1)
Poll ends March 13.

(3) YSL M7 vs. (14) Hermes Un Jardin En Mediterranee
(8) Fumerie Turque vs. (9) Chanel Antaeus
(5) Guerlain Vetiver vs. (12) Hermés Eau d'Orange Verte
(1) Aramis Havana vs. (16) Versace The Dreamer

Here's the updated bracket after the first 28 games:

Remember to only vote for one in each group. If you don't have a preference in a matchup you don't have to vote. If you want both in a group to advance, too bad; voting for both is statistically the same as not voting at all, so quit being so indecisive.

Poll will close in 24 hours.

Damn straight it is, Guerlain Vetiver losing in the first round would be the unmitigated upset of the entire tournament. What I've noticed, though, is that the night results and the results the next afternoon have generally been wildly different.

Yeah, I noticed that too. Maybe an illustration of American tastes vs eastern hemisphere & Europe? Either way I'm sure i'll wake up to vastly different numbers.

This is a very exciting group---the first one in which I have had strong opinions about every match-up. The whole concept is a blast. Thanks.

Guh, I only voted for two groups. The rest really are uninteresting to me.

I can say "No brainer."

I nearly reconsidered my vote for M7, I think because when I filled out my bracket, it had been cold and rainy outside. Today, it's bright and sunny and I'm finally indulging in my warm weather scents. But M7 is what I wrote (IN PEN) so I have to stick with it, and it really is the better scent overall, imo.

I watched Marquette and Villanova at the gym this morning. Great comeback by Marquette in the second half. I love this time of year-- warm weather, plants blooming, spring training, and college hoops, yay!
