Egoiste. Only for winter and evenings?

Almost all web-shops who sell Egoiste,, describe it as an evening scent. Are there enyone out there who also use it in summer, and more "casual" ?

Urrgh that sounds like a bad idea. I could see myself using it on a cooler night under 70F in the summer, but never anything above. It is an absolutely fantastic scent though, I wouldn't hesistate to buy it.

Unfortunately I think its evenings and Winter/Autumn...

SUCH a shame cause its so wonderful... I think a cool Summers evening could see it though... but, once it gets too hot it'd be choking...

I'm gonna give it a test-run when it heats up, but I do feel that it's a wintery fragrance.

I've tried it as a daytime fragrance and don't think it works as well as Platinum Egoiste which truly can be worn anytime.

Yes, I think Egoiste blooms in winter and cooler evenings.
It's hard to wear it in summer as it can get cloying. Though I did read in a previous thread here,
that some people do wear it in the heat. Maybe you can do that if applied lightly, but for me, this is
definitely a winter scent.

Both hub and I wear it in all seasons and round the clock. But in Finland the summer temperatures are lower than in Middle or Southern Europe.

Egoiste works well for about 10 months of the year, and it only really becomes difficult to pull off once the very warm days arrive. Chanel Allure is the better all-rounder, but I could still wear Egoiste during the day, probably slightly toned down in an office envronment.

I never use it taking in mind these suggestions... I just use it whenever I feel like it. Of course, I apply it with care since it is strong.

Egoiste is one of those fragrances that wreak even with a modest application
its heavy and sweet, so if its too hot/humid outside you might choke someone
probaby better to wear in cold weather and nights
but, knowing me, I wouldnt care

That's so strange, I don't find Egoiste overpowering or cloying at all. It's just a lovely oriental. I find Gucci Envy for Men for example more strong and longer lasting.
