In my experimenting and reading reviews I decided to give Nirmala by Moliard a try. It was introduced in 1955 and is toprical fruit w. vanilla and musc base.. iiiick! you say! Well, au contraire. This scent is remarkably pleasant and I am pleased to add it to my wardrobe. Like my Mom used to say " try it before you say you don't like it." Pleased to hear your critiques.

I sampled and reviewed Nirmala a while back, and I liked it, too. Here's what I had to say in 2007:

Nirmala
****
Surprisingly modern for a fragrance launched in 1955, Nirmala is all sweet tropical fruit over a musk and vanilla base. Mangoes, ripe pineapple, and smooth citrus carry the top and middle, joined by some crisp white flower notes and just a touch of wood in the drydown. A luminous and transparent oriental that probably desrves more attention than it gets. If you like Ananas Fizz, give Nirmala a sniff, too!

Vibert: Great discription. I only have to add that the pineapple is not synthetic smelling. It all smells like fruit. This would make an excellent summer fragrance. Quite exceptional and a bargain price too.
