SOTD: My first test of Piment Brûlant by L'Artisan Parfumeur.
This one kicks off with a pretty striking mix of hot pepper, cilantro, and green grass. Combined, these make a very good green bell pepper smell.
After some time, some smoke came and went, followed by some light cinnamon, which could easily have been the spicy top of some incoming sandalwood.
Quite a few hours later, a light chocolate (made creamy and spiced by the sandalwood) comes in, rounding out the fresh greens lingering at the top.
I guess that, by definition, this is a gourmand fragrance, but it really comes off as much more of a green. On my skin, the chocolate never took over strongly enough to turn this heavy on me.
Nice.
