So I bought that Chanel set with the tiny bottles of parfum. I fell in love with 19. And now I find that you can't buy Chanel 19 parfum in the United States. Eau de toilette, yes, but I don't like the eau de toilette. I don't even like the eau de parfum.
So what to do? There are websites that say that they have it, but I've never bought from those websites. Would it be the real stuff? Would it be well stored?
I could buy a decant from The Perfumed Court. I'm confident that that would be the good stuff, and I suppose it might be wiser to go through another tiny bottle before I commit to, say, an ounce, at $300 or more. But if I'm determined to buy a bottle, can anyone recommend the best way to do so without either travelling or begging favors from travelling friends?
I'm not rejecting the idea of a website, I'm just nervous about using an unknown one for a relatively expensive item without a specific recommendation. And I saw the phrase "French shopping service" on these very forums recently - I'd be fine with paying a surcharge, again, if someone can recommend one.
