Are Jo Malones the ultimate layering fragrances?

Has anyone tried layering any JM fragrances over other, non JM scents? Yesterday I was wearing Aramis JHL and for a moment I thought it was too bright for my mood. I applied Black Vetiver Cafe over and wow! A completely new fragrance, definatelty an 80's scent but darker than JHL. I have also layered BVC over Pomegrenate Noir and the result is excellent but JMs have always been marketed as colognes to explore layering over each other. The simplicity of their composition (for the most of them, as PN is a different beast) would allow for successful tweaking of underlying scents. Any others experimenting with that?

Yep, they really are great for that. The Orange Blossom is great on its own, but adds a great element to other houses. Same with Lime Basil Mandarin. I've started to enjoy the house more and more lately!
