Are these one in the same?
The Beauty Encounters lists it as a womans scent and the 1 0z. bottle is different.
Any thoughts?

Yep, that's just the travel size bottle.

And another question. I have tried this a number of times and I am still trying to determine if it is bottle worthy for me. It has, as has been noted a mysterious, dare I say surreal quality. But I cannot decide if it is masculine enough. Any thoughts?

I personally think it's completely unisex, no problem. I wear it confidently and always enjoy the ride. Same goes for 21... a creamier take on that signature scent.

Like all the Costume Nationals enough to wear them, apart from Gloss - which is hideous and girly.

Unisex all the way. Scent Intense and 21, in particular are two of my staples.

i would "love" to own 21 one day...it's one hell of a scent

Does anyone else who wears this 'get' the descriptions of this as being mysterious, naughty, dark, haunting, swoon-worthy, surreal.
It's hard to verbalize but there is definitely a 'something' about the scent.

Yes. I forget the screen name for one of the female members who owns an on-line shop, but recall she said a few years back she goes gaga for this when a man wears it. I have a bottle and wear it from time to time. It's dark in the sense that it's got a smokey tea note--definitely unisex and not like anything else I've smelled (which is A LOT).

This is the bottle I have, and I sprayed some on tonight before responding to your post. I agree with the comment that there's something surprising about Scent Intense. Its like you're driving down a familiar street, thinking you know whats around every corner, when suddenly the streetscene isn't what you expected. Its familiar, but not where you expected it to be. I like Scent Intense, and agree that its unisex, although it leans a little more to the masculine than not.

Scent Intense is different but not for the sake of it; it smells nice. I have no idea what hibiscus is meant to smell like but maybe that's the accord that gives it that sexy edge.

Yes.

This is a beautiful scent and I thank both 'Dimitri' and 'jathanas' for encouraging me to get it.
There is nothing else quite like this and that makes it really unique. Very linear amber note in the drydown. The top has this intoxicating tea note that I simply love.

However it stays close to the skin though longevity is not bad.

It's the one bottle that never fails to elicit at least one comment from others each time I leave the house trailing it behind me. I see it billowing and roiling behind me a bit like Spawn's cape except it's a deep velvety purple with a mind of its own.

If you look at this page they sell a Costume National's Scent Intense AND a Costume National's Scent Intense Woman's. Is this just marketing or are their actually two frags?

IMHO very femenine and loud, I can't bear hibiscus seeds in any fragance .

I bought blind a 30 ml bottle and passed to my sister that is crazy about it.

A woman I was working with sold me her bottle because she thought it was way too masculine for her.

How I love this fragrance! Got a sample yesterday and it's like magic. Can't stop smelling my wrist when wearing it. There's something fizzy in it that I can't keep my nose from. I noticed there are two versions of it. Scent Intense in a dark bottle and Scent Intense Parfum in a red bottle. In the fragrance directory the parfum-version is listed as feminine, while the ordinary version is listed as unisex. Are the two fragrances the same, but different concentrations? Which one is the best version? I need to get a bottle very soon...
