Late(r) arrival of Malle's Geranium pour Monsieur

You'll be more or less disappointed according to your level of anticipation: In a reply to a purchase of samples from Editions Parfums Frederic Malle, I have learned that Ropion's Geranium pour Monsieur is now expected at the end of May.

Perhaps my understanding that it was due the first of May was a fantasy. Perhaps the fragrance will fall short of my excitement. Perhaps it's time for a deep breath.

Les senteurs are already taking pre orders on it as reported earlier ....

Im in a huff with FM anyway , free samples on the site winner , 37euro to ship them epic fail

Wouldn't think of talking down...just trying to settle myself in the absence of the first frag I've actively sought before it was available.

I just phoned my regular frag shop in The Netherlands and they told me it'd be available in about two weeks, so that's half May. I'm very, very interested!

I was hoping to get hold of a sample of this from Les Senteurs, sometime this week, as their website started offering samples [hold onto your horses, for a second...]. The website stated that the bottles wouldn't be available until mid-May to purchase but nothing else. Naturally, I thought the samples/testers were already there...

WRONG!

A couple of days ago, the manager phoned me and apologised profusely about my sample order. It appears that a member of staff messed up big time and loaded the details onto the website before they'd even received anything from FM. No bottles, no testers... thus no samples available.

What a bummer!

Trebor man, the same thing happened to me. But I knew that it was a mistake on the website, when I emailed to ask if I could get a sample with my FB purchase of French Lover. They informed me then that they wouldn't have it until next month. Bummer is right.

I was at Barneys today, and they had a tester hidden in the stock room, but they brought it out and let me spray some on my hand. Apparently, the tester wasn't supposed to have been out on the counter. One of the SAs told me that some person who hadn't read the memo had the tester out on the counter and was about to sell two bottles before the mistake was discovered. The official release date (and earliest day to sell it) is June 1.
