Are there any scents similar to Gucci PH II?

Thread Starter
I know I have smelled something similar to it long before Gucci II came out. It must have been over 10 years ago.
I am looking for something similar to the top notes of Gucci II.

Anyone know if there are similar smelling scents?

Annick Goutal Duel?

Tea for Two although I think it is a bit spicier..

Tea for Two smells absolutely nothing like GPH2, and don't believe anyone that says so. I have a sample for tea for two, and GMH2 has been my favorite scent for months now. There's no similarity whatsoever.

Cyprien by Fragonard perhaps

Take GPHII, leave the violets intact, take out the cedar, boost up the musk and add a dash of pepper and you've got...

Burberry Touch!

man, you need to chill

I have not smelled anything like GPHII, however, i do think there are some fresh-spicy scents that may interest you. Perhaps 212, yang, maybe silver mountain water.

212 I hear smells like Le male, so I'll pass (great smell, but too popular). Yang, never heard of. Silver Mountain Water...out of the Creeds I tried, I did like this one. I thought this, taborome, and Original Santal were nice.

I think 212 Sexy Men is what some people compare to Le Male - quite different from the original 212.

Try Lacoste Elegance

GPH II and T4T have similarities, but they have a noticable difference between them.

GPH II is like a watered down sweetened version of T4T. Personally, I prefer GPH II. I really wish it would last longer though...

the beat is newer though

I thought it shared some properties with Lalique Equus. That was a long time ago. I haven't smelled Gucci PH II in a long time.

True!!

I owned and sold Lalique Equus EdT because it was so similar to Gucci PH II. Equus EdT is more subdued though, and a tad less spicy. Not that much cinnamon.

I find the top notes of GPHII similar in feel to these :

niche: Malle - Bois D'Orage
designer: Fendi Theorema Homme

I don't see much similarity I'm T4T and GPHII either.

I also feel that YSL L'Homme's drydown is somewhat similar to Gucci PH II...anyone else share my view?

Not so much. I remember shopping at SASA store once and was sampling gucci ph2, allure homme and homme sport, and F by feragammo and NR for him. and they all seem very similar in opening. NR seemed the least fresh of them and i preferred Gucci2s slightly fresher compared to allure homme and sport. I ended up with Gucci2 and NR bottles and was given sample vials of allure homme and homme sport. they seem generically scented all 4... just my personal experience
