SotD today was Dior Miss Dior Cherie L'Eau. Of the four Diors I reviewed yesterday, this one was the most pleasant to my nose, and the one that suited my mood. Wearing it today, I think I know why--it reminds me of the Kenzo Amour/Bulgari Black/Kenzo Peace/EL Bronze Goddess axis of fragrances which are powdery, inedible vanilla and woods with something in the top notes to give it a different feel in each case. With MDC L'Eau, the base has the powdery vanilla and woods, but without the dreaded Iso E punch that I get from Amour. And the top is sparkling with citrus and florals. It is quite "cute", if a fragrance can be called that. Simple, but uplifting and fun, the way a summer fragrance should be.
SotE...well, turns out summer isn't really here yet, so I am back in something warming for the evening...Parfum d'Empire Ambre Russe.
