Christian Dior, Diorific in Rouge Gipsy (gypsy red) in a lovely golden tube. It makes me feel pretty, so pretty when I have it on...and the tube always gets inquiries whenever I take it out because it's different.

Shiseido #19 (it has a name, too, but I'm too lazy to go look at it) layered with Mark Kay Pink Diamonds gloss. Well, I was wearing it. Now I'm ready for bed in Burt's Bees good ol' beeswax lip balm.

Gloomy day, so I'm wearing RED lips! Some of us were going crazy over this look at the Spring Fling in NYC. Takashimaya carries an Italian line called Nouba (not all that pricey either, $19). They have a lipstain in red #7 that is amazing.

For an "Old Hollywood" look, line your lips with Too Faced Borderline pencil, Nouba Red #7 Long Lasting Lip Color & Nouba #13 Sweet Kiss Liquid Lip Color (it's a see through gold).

Stunning.

It's a "dressy" look but I love it!

Edward Bess' Eternal Passion. It's a beautifu, l "goes with everything", red, nice & moist, goes on like a silk slip. I line it with Too Faced, Borderline to keep it from bleeding. Under it, I wear M.A.C.Pred+Prime, so it stays put.

WOW! Greedy, lip ink. I need to try that.

Estee Lauder Rosewood in the long lasting formula. Of all their lipsticks, I like this original formula the best & it's their least expensive, I think.

This afternoon - it's Rose The Nude by Clarins. This is a discontinued color and Clarins' cosmetic line but I bought 2 tubes to hoard ! Clarins always discontinues my fave colors and cosmetics. Why oh why ??

Wore Edward Bess' Forever Yours a limited edition ultra slick lipstick with his Sweet Dream deep shine lip gloss over it. The effect is a lush nude lip but it stays on forever! The product has a slight fig scent...beautiful. And it's a lip treatment!
I love his lippies!
Many thanks to tdem, who first turned me on to this line.

No lippie or gloss for me today but - and I feel it is massively appropriate to post this here - I am wearing Pai bergamot lip balm which I am ADDICTED to. It has the most amazing earl grey tea thing going on and a hint of the sweet almond oil/cocoa butter in it comes through too. And it is right beneath my nose! Perfect.

kissandmakeup...that sounds divine! I adore the smell of Earl Grey tea.

My lippie today is the lightly fig scented Ultra Slick Lipstick from Edward Bess in Natural Attraction. So moist & pretty, doesn't turn orangy on me like many "nude" or "natural" lip colors. (Including the YSL, R8JAA3 I tried yesterday, very dissapointing.)

No lippie for me today either other than carmex lip balm, which has that tingling metholated feel on my lips. Pai bergamot lip balm sounds very nice! Lately, I've been wearing a nude-peachy lip pencil ( a cheapie one, Palladia, I think?) all over my lips, with a clear gloss over that. It suits my everyday life. Once I find something that works I reach for it all the time because I'm usually in a hurry to get dressed and out the door. I really should play more.

Same here! Favourite nude pencil of the mo' is a discontinued Ruby and Millie. They were very cheap and so I bought one in nude and one in a rich red wine burgundy.

Found myself stranded without lippie the other day (Ellie is obsessed with my make-up bag and constantly removes things which I do not realise until I go to apply make-up on train!) and ran into Boots the chemist to top up. Bought L'Oreal Glam Shine as it was on special and find it a slightly more spangly way of doing the glossy nude lip thing (and quicker) Shade is Golden Tatoo. Very nice and very long-lasting if slightly sticky finish.

RHM and Tigs: Pai lipbalm is truly yummy and also is lasting me ages!

Wore NARS Dolce Vita to the mall tonight. Bought some Prescriptives moisturizer & their Rose Quartz lip gloss. It's really pretty: very neutral blue based pink with lots of sparkle. Stays on forever. I like that in a gloss.

Bath & Body Works has their new CO Bigelow mentha lip glosses in the holiday flavors. My daughter is the princess of lip gloss & LOVES the mentha spearmint one. They have a new "Winter Cordials" line: Hot Buttered Rum, Warm Spiced Cinnamon (her favorite), Triple Hot Chocolate, Vanilla Cream Eggnog. The scents were all rather strong...not what I like but the teens & tweens seem to love them. Looks like the changed the packaging a little and raised the price by .50. We did not purchase.

I've been lipstick/gloss free all day & I can feel it. My poor pout is so dry, it's Kiehl's Lip Balm #1 for me for the rest of the evening.
My daughter has had success making her own lip balms. I read the ingredients of the Pai bergamot lip balm, pretty straight forward. I'm going to try making my own version & see how it turns out.

Wore that Smashbox goji berry nonsense lip gloss. Supposed to tint your lips to a pink colour that suits you best. I don't like it. Toooooo fuchsia for me! I'm very interested in that Dior one I keep reading about though.....

Wore Clinique's "Soft Shine" lipstick in Rubelite all day today. They call it a "Rich red with dramatic gold pearl". It's very pretty, makes my whole face look happy.

It's beautiful! The lippie is well pigmented but has a very sheer feel to it. It's fast becoming one of my favorites. It's COLOR without looking fake, just happy.
