Midtown Perfume - Real or Ripoff?

I ran across this site with prices almost too good to believe. Anyone hear anything about it, or have any experience with it?

I am going to a (closed to the general public) gift & jewelry show this weekend, where there will be a number of perfume vendors. So I decided to check out a few fragrances I might want to buy ahead of time, to see what the lowest online prices are ~ for haggling purposes. I planned on using the Scented Monkey for baseline prices, but then I ran across the above site. If they are reputable, I want to bookmark them for future possible orders.

I've seen the website, and their prices look pretty darn good. However, everything that I have tried to order has been out of stock or sold out, so I have never completed a purchase yet from them. I hate that!

I can't say but if it seems too good to be true then chances are it may be. Just stick to vendors that have been proven to be reliable. Better to spend more money and get the real deal than risk it.

I seem to recall some very negative feedback on them, but this was probably three years or so ago. Google is your friend.

i wonder if you were thinking of "1st Perfume", which did get negative feedback here. i've not heard of midtown perfume here on basenotes, but i've looked at some of the prices and they are not that much dfferent from Parfum1, which has a good reputation here on BN and now is offering 15% off.

I've ordered a couple things from Midtown Perfumes through Amazon and they were fine. I've heard mixed experiences, though. None of which suggested that they were dishonest, just maybe not so hot on customer service.
