I have planned to buy Desire by Dunhill, I request everyone to respond whether or not I should buy this?
If not then I can also buy Safari by Ralph Lauren, .

well to me derire would be something I would wear on a date though you can do it with Safari, it would just be something I would think a women would not like.

desrire all the way way better than Safari. IMHO

I like Desire better than Safari. But Desire is going very cheap down here, and is obviously on its way out, whereas Safari is always at near top dollar (A$40 vs A$120 for their respective big bottles)

Make sure you get it cheap, if you go for Desire.

I prefer RL's Safari to Dunhill's Desire. Save for Dunhill 2003, Dunhill seem to have gone in strange directions after Edition and D

However, Elias Saif, why dont you sample the two and see which one you personally prefer. Short of wanting to do a vote count of the responses to your thread, the diversity of (well thought and knowledgeable) answers may just you further.

Go with your first instinct, Dunhill Desire. Safari isn't that great of a scent IMHO

Dunhill Desire is horrible in my opinion and it gives me a BAD headache.

I have received compliments while wearing Desire. And none for Safari.

I'd say go for it. It's a decent mass-marketed fragrance.

That just tells me how much popular taste has declined over the years.

Desire is the way to go. It may be synthetic, but its a unique, fun and fresh, yet powdery scent. Vanilla, Limes, apples . . .what's not to like?? lol. And women totally notice it and come back for more sniffs.

Interestingly enough. I'm going out with a knockout next week, whom I met this weekend while wearing Desire. She knew the frag right away and it got us talking.

. . and now, she's gonna have my babies!
