What's Your Favorite Pick-Me-Up Fragrance?

Thread Starter
I don't mean for Friday night at the bar. I'm thinking of your favorite re-fresher.
My new favorite is Muguet by Molinard. Bright, green floral with a hint of citrus.

Mine is Mugler Cologne

Chant de Aromes EdT by Guerlain - the only heavy-aldehyde floral fragrance I can wear, that is like an olfactory espresso shot for me.

Millesime Imperial, the bright metallic citrus-y melon is just so wonderful that I can't help but smile when I smell it.

Acqua di Parma Colonia seems to be my primary here, although there are others.

Mugler Cologne, Escada Sunset Heat for Men, and Prada Infusion d'Homme, for sure.

Tommy Bahama Set Sail St Barts for women.

Wait...I just mentioned my pick-me-up as in cheer me up

As far as giving me energy to get up and go, it's Vetiver Extraordinaire or Rout du Vetiver. Nothing like a vetiver punch in the nose to shock you out of a haze.

Mine is Beth Terry Creative Universe Mare.
It is my Saturday running around town/doing the yardwork old reliable.
It is easily the one scent in my wardrobe I've worn the most.

Mine would be something fresh and citrusy, so either Versace Man Eau Fraiche or Ed Hardy Love and Luck

I would have to say its both Mugler Cologne and Bijan Nude. Mugler Cologne has been discussed, but Bijan Nude is just so beautiful. Creamy, clean, even somewhat metalic. Gardenia is prominent. More of a skin scent I suppose, but it has better longevity than I initially thought. 6 hours, maybe. Not bad for the type of fragrance it is. I think Nude is suppose to reference the smell of clean bare skin ( others words, not mine initially).

A couple of sprays of either Nude or MC and I get refreshed, they give the energy to get back into the game ( of life).

Sean John Unforgivable and Boss Selections

Mine is a bit of an oddball: Musgo Real No. 2 Oak Moss. It's really the purest green scent I've come across, like wet leaves and new-mown grass. Really bright, and an instant trip to the outdoors.

T

AdP Colonia Assoluta

Penhaligon's Castile

Dior Escale a Portofino - magical stuff . it's how AdPColonia smelled before it lost its virginity.

Baraja by Acqua di Biella is a new one I found to be very fresh, and green and a nice booster fragrance to wear in warm weather.

Yet another vote for Mugler Cologne. It's the quicker picker-upper!

I also reach for Gucci Rush for Men, Fou d'Absinthe, and AdP Colonia. Conifers and citrus seem to lighten the air and add a bit of spring in the step.

One or two squirts of Creed Millesime Imperial for me

Piper Nigrum

I 2nd Unforgiveable. Funny how Unforgiveable and Creed MI came up. I thought i was the only one who felt that way about them being a pick me up scent. Love the topnotes on Unforgiveable.

It would have to be Hugo XY. Nice minty basil.
Gucci Pour Homme II
L'Occitane The Vert a la Menthe.

If this doesn't pick you up, you might be dead.

Another vote for Muglar Cologne also.

+1 for Mugler Cologne and AdP Colonia. I'll add Geo F Trumper GFT.
It was Colonia Assoluta, but I'm currently looking for something new for this role...

Crown Esterhazy is a wakeup slap on both cheeks with crackling dry and bitter citrus.
...no sissy citrus, this.
believe it or not (sarcasm) it's Michael... for some reason no matter how foul a mood I'm in when I wake up... a bit of coffee and a few jolts of my favorite instantly put a smile on my face, a spring in my step, and (when my girlfriend is around) a little extra bloodflow
post #35 of 44
Perhaps an odd choice, but mine is Le No. 3.

It's not only my pick-me-up, but a general happiness inducer.

Bergamote - TDC

No 1 Eau de Campagne by Sisley
No 2 Vétiver by Guerlain
No 3 Eau Sauvage by Dior
Monsieur Balmain for a citrus burst. And, dare I say it, that old Basnotes favourite, L'eau D'Issey. I'll get booted now!

My choice of pick-me-up is L'erbolario's Energizing spray. This is only one of two frags that I have bought blind ($10 at their shutting up shop in the US sale) and its combo of citrus, mint, basil, rosemary and a few other herbs is perfect for a quick boost. I highly recommend it if you can find it.

I love to wear this after a workout or on an exceptionally hot day. In other circumstances I find its cold nature to be a bit depressing, but when the body temps are up, this is a great refreshing frag.

Mugler Cologne and ADP Colonia always seem to lift my spirits. Le Roy Soleil Homme is another that is bright and energizing and always makes me feel good.

Creed Original Vetiver and Lanvin Oxygene
post #42 of 44
As for refreshing.. I'll finish my Acqua di Gio first, haha
post #43 of 44
I will choose Guerlain's Herbal Fresca
Royal Kinam by Oriscent (pure oud oil)
