What's your "white tee-shirt" scent?

Hi gals and guys! A while back there was a Perfume Posse thread asking what your "white tee-shirt' scent is-- you know, the one you reach for when you just can't make up your mind and nothing else seems right. It may not necessarily be your favorite, but it always delivers.

I didn't have one back then, but I do now (although in my case it's more like a certain black sweater scent ). It's Mitsouko. I realised it as I yet again hadn't made up my mind out of the shower, and the tan and black box, halfway covered up by sample packages (I'm not very organised) suddenly looked like it would totally work for today. It hadn't even entered my mind in the shower.

What about you all? What's your go-to?

When I don't have the where-with-all to actually make a decision, these are the three that I usually grab to general success.

Black dress scent - Crown Marechale
Black sweater scent - Mitsouko
White T-shirt scent - Bulgari Eau de The Vert or Crown Ess Bouquet

Prada Infusion d'Iris.

Instead of Febreze, I even bought an extra 200 ml tester bottle to spray it on the lining of my scarf and suit jacket after I've been at an outdoors cafe where other people smoke. I even spray it on my wallet so when I take money out I smell it...

I do not have a white T-shirt, be it a clothing piece or a fragrance. Especially despise those that are white with catchy displays, like "CK" or "My friend went to London and all I got was this lousy shirt". Black -- any time, not white!

I'm with Twolf on the T-shirt issue: black beats white. Though I recently - to my surprise - discovered that I actually do own a white T-shirt; I cannot remember when I got it but it must have been at least a year ago. And it still had the price on it...

Anyway my go-to scent is Infusion d'Iris. Extremely versatile and appropiate for any situation.

I'm more of a black than white lover when it comes to my "reach for" shirt,
in any case my answer would be
Chanel no. 19. It pretty much feels right no matter what my mood.
Vamp is another one I find highly wearable for many occasions.
Attrape Coeur, too, though, as I mentioned before, since this one makes me feel a bit "open" or mushy hearted, I wouldn't wear it to a business meeting, for example. Come to think of it, I don't attend business meetings! silly me!
Same here, I favour black over white too!
If I ever wear my white t-shirts / linen shirt, I would pick:
Eau de Campagne by Sisley
White Linen by Estee Lauder
Tommy Girl by Tommy Hilfiger
Kiss Him keeps me in high, white 100% cotton
post #16 of 67
My t-shirt scent is
Beth Terry Creative Universe Mare
It is the one I spray on to run errands on the weekend.
Mugler Cologne
Bulgari Omnia or Fragonard's Fleur d'Oranger.
Donna Karan Gold is a great "white t-shirt" scent for me. If I'm in the mood for something 'deeper', Dior Addict always fits the bill!

edited to add: On really hot or humid days, it's Fleur des Comores by Maitre Parfumeur et Gantier.
T-shirt, but not usually white:
Prada Infusion d'Iris
Chanel #5 Eau Premier
Chanel #19, if it's really hot out.
Great question!

Crisp, clean, white....

White Linen or No22
Tommy Girl
Chanel eau premiere
Bulgari pour Femme
CC 1872 for men
Versace Blue Jeans
Chanel No. 5
White T Shirt to me implies, tshirt with blue jeans.

So a few of mine are:

Vanille Gallante
No 5 Eau Premiere
Light Blue (in the summer)
Jicky EDT

Black sweather to me implies, black cashmere sweater with blue jeans.

hmmm...

Shalimar EDP or L'Heure Bleue
Bois des Iles or Cuir de Russie
Vetiver Tonka or Ambre Narguile

I almost never wear t-shirts, interestingly enough....when it's hot enough, I wear a tank top. If it's a white tank then I'd most likely reach for

SummerbyKenzo
Ava Luxe Moroccan Mint Tea
Bvlgari Omnia Crystalline
Kenzo Fleur de the vert
CdG2
Sinfonia di Note Saveur d'artichaut
Either Annick Goutal Eau d'Hadrien or Tauer Perfume LAdDM.
Ck Summer 2005!

Very fresh and not dressy at all. (I can wear 24, Faubourg and still fee OK about it, though...)
All winter it was CdG Original. Not sure what it is now that the warmth has arrived.
I think it's Burberry Original. I actually had to go look at volumes and recall wearings..
That's funny I'm wearing a white t-shirt today,
and with it Tender Touch,
but I any of the following would work too:

Eau d'Hadrien • Aimez-Moi • À la Nuit • L’Été en Douce
Pink Jasmine • Gardénia Passion • Prada Infusion • Douce Amère
Un Jardin en Méditerranée • Songes • Eau de Charlotte • Kelly Calèche
L'eau par Kenzo • Omnia Amethyste • Eau Parfumée au Thé Blanc

You keep books where you record both your SOTD and OOTD (Outfit of The Day)?

I am impressed!

My go to fragrances are Feminite du bois,Egoiste,Narciso Rodriguez edt,and Jicky.
My white t-shirt scent is Lanvin's Eclat d Arpege or Guerlain's With Love or maybe Cristalle.
My black cashmere sweater scent is Chanel No. 22 (actually, I wear them together so much that when I got it back from the drycleaner to store for summer it still smells of it).
Lavanda ambrata by Santa Maria Novella
My two most comfortable "go to" fragrances are probably Gres Cabaret and Eau de Cartier.
White (or more likely black) t-shirt scent: No. 5 Eau Premiere. Strikes the right casual accord with its newer citrus accord. EP is always right and I don't fret the selection process the way I do with other scents. Although I was initially wary of the large bottle, I am spritzing my way through it. I wore it today to a mover-and-shaker event at which I spoke to the mayor for a fair length of time and met a major philanthropist. The mayor smelled marvelous. I didn't dare ask, but I think it was Cristalle.

Another scent is this category for me is Chance EdP. I wear this a lot; I like the yeastiness of the patchouli. I also like the Eau Fraiche version, which is greener and crisper.

From the niche nook, Fleur de Cassie slots in nicely here.

Guerlain Vetiver
Eau Sauvage
Rive Gauche pour homme
I prefer black t-shirts and any of KL Kapsules wear well with my bts.
Oh, black sweater too! 'm thinking of my ribbed, silk knit, black turtleneck. It's sort of elegant and bada$$ at the same time-- Donna Karan Black Cashmere, Tabac Blond, or C&S Dark Rose (but this last one is cheating as it is not YET in my wardrobe).
My most basic tee is lavender blue

That said, Jil Sander Sun? It has that "background" quality and fits all occasions and purposes.
Burberry Touch (for women)
Burt's Bees Baby Bee solid perfume
Satellite Ipanema
Puro Lino

When I get dressed up it's time to bust out the Mazzolari Alessandro.

Ormonde Jayne Champaca. So pretty and works with anything. Also Artisan Jour de Fete and Bvlgari Voile de Jasmin. I don't wear white t-shirts either.
SJP Lovely
JM White Jasmine & Mint
For daytime, my automatic choice is Bulgari au Thé Blanc.

For night, Lanvin Éclat d'Arpège.
I see a lot of love for Chanel No 19, which is one of my picks too. Also Lancome Magie and Climat, as well as Ralph Lauren Safari. Sometimes I like to wear Annick Goutal's Ce Soir ou Jamais in the summer when it is really hot and I'll wear a white t shirt - it just seems to bloom in the heat and the tiny bit of skank in the bottom just highlights the simplicity of the white t shirt.
I really had to think about this one. I think I'm going to have to say it was Privet Bloom, but now it seems that VS Lace Orange Flower has superceded it for versatile wearability.
Bluebell by Penhaligon's or Jo Malone's scents.
I think Escale a Portofino is a great white Tee scent too.
It used to be Yves Rocher Un Jour se Leve, but I'm not sure any more...
I don't own a white tee-shirt, I'm surprised to say. But I do know what I WOULDN'T wear with such an item -- Opium! I remember being around 11 years old and being fascinated with my stepmother's Opium. I wanted a spray of that stuff so bad. So, when she was out of sight, I snuck into her room and doused my self unthinkingly with a surreptitious spray -- slap-bang in the centre of my clean white t-shirt. Caught in the act! The stain never came out, no matter how many times the tee-shirt was washed.

As for black cashmere days, I wear Cabochard.
pure turquoise, philtre d' amour, no. 5 eau premier

I like almost any t-shirt, especially white with faded jeans, black with black jeans, and grey with anything.

Today it's probably amber-y scent that I'd put on as a comfort/casual one.
I don't own a white t-shirt, either, but if I'm in that kind of mood: Un Lys, L'Antimatiere, Narciso Rodriguez Musc.
I understand "white tee shirt" not literally , but metaphorically as the "go-to" clothes you choose quickly, the safe outfit you can select with no decision making when you can't think of anything to wear. [that would be my black top tank top or turtle neck].

My go-to frags change , but over the last year I found myself reaching for Winter Star and Chergui in cold weather, and Jasmin Noir all year round.

That's totally what I meant, Nostalgie! It's cool seeing different interpretations of this (and how many of us don't actually own a white tee shirt...I don't either, come to think of it. )
Come to think of it, Eau des Merveilles would do nicely as well (the way it's behaving today on me, anyway. It's been different on other days... which might make it a little too temperamental to be a white tee scent. I'm so writing myself out of it! Never mind.)

I knew what you meant Sunny! It's a good shorthand.

something inexpensive
Although many of my t-shirts are getting crowded out of my closet by work clothes (booo), I still love to spend my weekends in my old jeans with the hole in the back pocket and a much-worn tee. Most likely, I'd just dab on vanilla perfume oil from the Body Shop - simple, pretty, and oh so smooth. Fruity on top and it settles down into a slightly musky amber that says, "Hey, I know I'm pretty, but stop staring at that hole in my back pocket."
