I have only 3 frags I normally wear now.Opium PH, Polo Double Black, and Perry Ellis 360 Red. I'm looking to have a versatile wardrobe of about 10 frags, ideally.Okay guys, I'm in HS so I don't got a lot of gouda to drop on niche frags. Recommend somethings that are:

under $60
not a hard to find niche, although nothing like AdG that is too popular
is a "younger person" scent
has good longevity
Is interesting smelling, sorry no Nautica Voyage

Maybe somethings like:
a gourmand
another fresh summer scent
another "formal wintery" scent, like Opium PH

Somethings I don't care for:
Halston 1-12 too grassy, not suitable at my age
Drakkar Noir
Adidas Moves in clear blue bottle, smells like cucumber BO
Cool Water, I kinda like it, just not enough to wear often.

Thanks in advance.

Welcome to basenotes!
I reccomend the following:
- John Varvatos by John Varvatos for the gourmand though its more of an oriental but it fits the bill with its date and vanilla notes. It goes for ~23$ on amazon.com so its a really good price and basenotes love it.
- Formaly wintery scent:
Yves Saint Laurent Rive Gauche, Another loved one here that can be had for ~$26 on amazon. It's a nice formal scent with a barbershop feel to it.
- fresh summer scent -I can't think of a sure one for this except for Bvlgari Aqua or Guerlain Vetiver. You can find these ones for cheap in scentiments.com and other online vendors.

GL!

Instead of the Opium, how about Guerlain L'Instant or Caron PH?

YSL M7
Terre de Hermes

Bulgari Black might be worth a look - interesting.
Bulgari The Vert, maybe? Greent Tea - it'll either be a 'yes - perfect for summer' or 'absolutely no way'.
Kenzo Power, Guerlain Pour Homme and Dior Homme porbably good to check out just to get a handle on fairly recent men's releases . . .
Second TdH - I just discovered that last year.

If you like the "dark woods" and nutmeg in Polo Double Black, you might also like the vetiver/nutmeg combination in L'Occitane's Vetyver. A drier, dark (not grassy) vetiver that gets a lot of praise is Encre Noire (Lalique).

Gourmand - Ultrared Man by Paco Rabanne
Fresh summer - Joop Jump! or maybe CK One Summer 2009?
Formal wintery - Must de Cartier Pour Homme (you won't regret it! Better than Opium PH imo) or Bulgari Pour Homme Soir

Thanks for the replies. Much obliged guys. I actually like Polo db for the mango most, but I'll try the vetivers, regardless. I'm still trying to figure out what vetiver is exactly haha. I'm also looking for a place with a good amount of YSL stuff, right now I've just mainly seen the blazee L'Homme.

I might buy A*Men for a gourmand, it smelled strong and weird and I actually wanted to hate it, but it just got better as the day wore thin.

Is there any common scent RG can be compared to? I've seen all these confusing descriptions, shaving cream (mine is scentless) etc.

My favorite gourmand in my wardrobe is Diamonds by Armani. However, it doesnt last very long. Maybe it would be different on you, I would try it out.

For fresh frags, I can recommend Chrome Legend (I like it better than Chrome), Versace Man Eau Fraiche and Platinum Egoiste. These three are my mainstays during the summer months. Around here in my age group not many guys wear these, so they are pretty "unique".

As for a more formal/winter scent, I can suggest Dirty English, Antidote, Diot Homme and Oscar de la Renta Pour Lui.
