Was snooping around Penhaligons this evening, and got the following updates from the very friendly and knowledgeable SA:
In June they will be re-releasing four of their old, discontinued fragrances, of which I can remember just three. One is a lime scent (presumably a gentleman's cologne), the other is Eau de Verveine, and the third is Night-Scented Stock. I'm not a florals gal, but I got a sneak preview of this and it was terribly pretty; a peppery, creamy floral with very good longevity.
She also mentioned that in September they would be releasing a 'sexy floral', which she described as a creamy carnation. I look forward to smelling that.
She was also very knowledgeable about layering, and recommended a layer of their Lavandula scent (lavender and light vanilla) with a layer of Racquets (citrus and musk). It was absolutely heavenly! It has been a terribly hot and humid day here in Cambridge, today, and this combination was both refreshing and soft. Really pretty!
Perhaps most interesting for me was that she pointed out that a couple of their scents had been created by Olivia Giacobetti and **** (oh, I forget his name, but I'm sure he created one of the Malles). They should make this more readily known!
