Thanks for the snowpea clarification. I imagined something pale of course.

I've had a quiet breakfast of a 3 inch bit of really fresh french bread with unsalted french butter and two squares of the blackest darkest chocolate (100%) tucked inside. With a lovely mug of dark coffee. I must be needing a kick start this morning. I'd better have a tangerine to balance that with some vitamin c.

Actually I found a gold mine. Its this blog that belongs to a Chinese-Malaysian working in Abu Dhabi who is a huge foodie too.

We had:

Crispy Sichuan beef
Spicy (very! my mouth is still tingling) chicken with peanuts.
Sautéed green beans in garlic paste
Hot and sour vegetable soup
vegetable fried rice with beef, chicken & seafood

A Blackcurrant/Violet macaron by Laduree' (Paris) that we bought in NY. You cannot imagine how much flavor is packed into this tiny, fluffy, airy little creation. Amazing!

I knowww!!!! Those little macaroons (even though I am not a macaroon person) are concentrated. Do try the ice cream if you can.
The bergamot, vanilla, salted caramel and violet are just divine.

It is called "Maum" which is a kind of fermented sausage. It can be cooked in many ways like fry, roast, and grill.
