Fruity fragrances in search of

Thread Starter
Ok i am looking for a real fruity fragrance here is what I tried:

Pulp by Byredo - too loud in your face not sure if i can wear this

Paco Black XS - love it, but longevity stinks on me

Chic by Herrera - I am on the fence on this one I smelled some watermelon but was very subtle might need to resample

Diesel for Life - I tried several times - I know people say women love it, but I could not stand it something about it made me sick

Escada Sunset Heat - longevity horrible on me

Kenneth Cole Reaction - horrible longevity

Serge Lutens Bois Et Fruits - I got no fruits...but mostly woods

Daim Blond - some apricot but no sillage at all

Creed MI - I love it...but longevity does not last on me

It sems fruity fragrances do not last long for some reason not sure why

So far the only one that lasts on me forever and I do like is Byredo Pulp...but the sillage is monster I can clear out a room

Any other suggestions I am missing?

you should try Be delicious by Donna Karan

I may have detractors saying this, but I get a terrific fruity accord from Ungaro II.

Lacoste Red (Style in Play). A lovely fruity, sweet scent. Perfect for summer or casual wear.

Davidoff Cool Water Game. Watermelon, grapefruit, blackcurrant. A nice, fresh, fruity one here too.

Yes it is, but it can still be found for around $50 for a 75ml bottle. Terrific frag.

No joke, this stuff is really good, for such an unheard of scent. Definitely seek it out.

I dont care about money if cheap or expensive i just want something that lasts longer then a few hours..

Thanks for all the suggestions
I know what you mean about Pulp being a huge, monster of a fruit scent. Hee hee...it's what I call an aggressive fruity fragrance.

Try Bahiana by MPG - I think it's what you're looking for.
You could also try the new Wolfgang Joop: http://www.basenotes.net/ID26129458.html

sweet fruity (especially grapefruit) spicy woody.

lasts long.

smells really good.

How aout Egoiste. Fruity notes up front to me. And it lasts. And lasts. And, .

Fruity smells are often times low molecular weight, highly volatile esters and as such one cannot expect tremendous longevity. I don't know why people are all hung up on longevity and then pass over many fragrances that they really enjoy because of "poor longevity." It is easy enough to carry a small decant and refresh the fragrance as needed.
Chane allure edition blanche. Much more fruity than its predecessors, you get a real lime smell throughout mixed with that famous allure tonka bean. Definetly try this one out. Also, you may like joop thrill, the newest joop scent. very vanilla, apple type scent. lovely.
If you're concerned about longevity and silliage, you want Dunhill Desire (Red).

Another suggestion carrying the JOOP! name then:What about Adam.
http://www.basenotes.net/ID26121697/reviews.html

Another rarely discussed item is Versace Metal Jeans (also discontinued).
http://www.basenotes.net/ID26121089/reviews.html

A favourite of mine is Trussardi Jeans Men.
http://www.basenotes.net/ID26123421.html
A youthful scent smelling of fruit-punch,with terrific longevity.

Bois Fruite by Montale is a longer lasting and more natural smelling Millesime Imperial

I second Bahiana by MPG.

Also, try Versace Man Eau Fraiche or D&G Light Blue (marketed for women, but it smells unisex), and also Soleil de Capri.
Almost the entire male range of J del Pozo, including Quasar and its flankers as well as On El. Versace Blue Jeans might also work.
Try love and luck by ed hardy. It is such a nice fresh fragrance.
Everytime someone asks for a recommendation on fruity fragrances, I suggest Lancetti via Condotti pour homme.
This is by far the best fruity fragrance (peachy) I have tested. The sillage is unbelievable for a summer fragrance. It lasts more than 24 hours.

Give this one a shot and believe me you won't regret it.

Yes to this.

But what I think what you're looking for would be L'Anarchiste. If you think women love Diesel, wait till they get a whiff of this stuff. Long lasting incredibly fruity fragrance. There's nothing about it that anyone could dislike. I would liken its soft, sweet fruity qualities to flavored pipe tobacco, before it's been smoked of course.

Paco Rabanne One Million
Boss Baldessarini

Fruity they are, and good, but don't know about the sillage...
Xeryus Rouge/Givenchy: Spicy fruit, very good longevity and sillage

Dalimix/Salvador Dali: Marketed as unisex, musky fruitiness. My gf and I share a bottle and we experience very good longevity and sillage.
Boss Pure by Hugo boss
Visa by Robert Piguet is a terrifiic fruity leather.

I've been testing Bois Fruite and its longevity is no better or worse than MI, and while they smell similar Bois Fruite is not a clone of MI as it has been suggested on other threads.

Polo Black and Double Black are fruity.. don't last long on me though!
In terms of longevity, I'm afraid there are not many options available. The most potent one I've tried is Pulp but, while the rich opening is amazing, the drydown is truly awful (although it does calm down by this point).

Mike's recommendation of Bahiana is probably your best bet. Unfortunately, I find its lasting power to be so-so.
Escape for men has a bubble gum type of fruitiness and it lasts on me quite well.
Ck Be, is a nice peach fragrance.

I like this one as well.

Allure Homme Blanche lasts a ridiculously long time on my dry skin to boot.
Escada Magnetism - smells like grape powder and cola over musk. Fruity, weird and sexy. Longevity is moderate to good.

Paris Hilton has a nice frag, super fruity and lasts all day long. It's believe it's called Paris Hilton For Men ... released in 2005. Good stuff man.

Mure et Musc Extreme - CK Be on steroids, with berries rather than peaches. Very long lasting and with more sillage.
John Varvatos (the original) lasts pretty long on me. Might be too heavy for summer, but its a nice one, and very fruity to my nose.
I recommend Gai Mattiolo UOMO and Usher UR for men. They both last long on me, 10 hrs +.

Yes! Absolutely amazing. Most likely my next purchase as well. Boy does it smell good. And it last forever too.
EDIT:
I would recommend Xerjoff XXY if money is no object.
CK one summer 2009 is also brilliant
I asked myself this same question: http://community.basenotes.net/showthread.php?t=218915

Since that time, my experience has multiplied endlessly. I will say that the fruity fragrance you are looking for is Bahiana by Maitre Parfumer et Gantier. It has great longevity for a fruity fragrance and you will immediately notice how fruity it is as soon as you spray it.

Also i suggest Montale Crystal auod -- a nice melon, and last 10 hrs easily.

What's the PDT? Isn't that an acronym only Guerlain uses? Either way I find that Mure et Musc Extreme has legendary longevity on my dry skin. In fact I am finding that most white musks last forever on me, that's not to say they have great sillage (which believe it or not Mure et Musc Extreme has in spades), they last through scrubbing and showers often.

If you like pear, try Obsession Night.

Also you may wanna give Banana Rep. Slate a shot
post #53 of 63
Mure et Musc Extreme
Dunhill Desire Red (great value, too!)
Obsession Night (for women. . i don't like the men's)
Also try, Jo Malone,
1. Pomegranate Noir
2. French Lime Blossom
3. Honeysuckle & Jasmine

Jo Malones fragrances have an extremely lovely and natural smell to them that's very fruity. Highly recommended.

This is an old thread I know but i wanted to follow up and let everyone know I went ahead and purchased it and got it today

and WOW

this is amazing and perfect for a man. It is fruity but not to sweet or cloying, it smells just like peaches.

BTW gupts how many sprays do you use out of curiosity?

mate....I am glad you took my advice and bought this....

This fragrance has one of the most powerful sillage of most perfumes that I've owned/tried. For most fragrances I usually spray 6-8 times however after knowing the potency of this one, I am happy with about 3-4 sprays....it lasts and projects all day...
Moustache - Fizzy crazy fruits with a bit of moss. Certainly one of the most quirky frags in my wardrobe, but probably the only fruity one I tend to wear.

Agree with the Xeryus Rouge suggestion... especially for the young folks - it just screams youth to me.
Beyond Paradise by Estée Lauder

Style in Play by Lacoste
