I agree with
chaya -
Cannes is very good, but it's not as deep or long-lasting as
Deneuve. The differences are most notable, obviously, in a side-by-side test, but it's a good impostor from far. I wear the Irma Shorell version to extend the life of the original stuff. I'll start with a few sprays of Deneuve in the morning, then refresh with Cannes. I figure the base is going to hang around the longest, so at least I've got the original there throughout the day. I find these are most similar in the topnotes anyway. Same story with
Duality, their version of
Anne Klein II.
I also have their
Tuxedo and as chaya point out, it's very nice but just doesn't quite measure up to the original. I've had the
Sortilege and
Crepe de Chine as well and really enjoyed them, but didn't have the originals at the time to compare them to.
I would absolutely recommend checking them out if you don't think the differences would bother you too much, or if you're not familiar with the original but want to get a good idea of it before seeking out a vintage bottle. The prices are very nice and several fragrances are offered in small "try me" sizes - you really can't go wrong.
