But with this scent, one too few is way better than one too many!

Aqua di Gio today for running errands. I finally had to break down and buy new beading since my old stuff was getting holy. I hate spending large money on bedding but at least it lasts a few years.

Yeah Mike, it's easy to fall in love with the love potion funny how good lemon, myrtle and patchouli can smell - here, the patchouli is as perfect as in Habit Rouge, but in Philtre d'Amour so much more nostalgic. Charming.

Tonight, for me, it's Guerlain's Chamade vintage extrait

Just got back from dinner.. what a long, sucky day! I wanted something traditional and leather, but not overpowering, so I went with Helmut Lang Cuiron. It was a perfect dinner scent.

So I'm wondering...where the hell is the grapefruit in this one. It smells more like other citrus notes, but not really like grapefruit. Am I the only one?

I've always spotted the grapefruit, but it's more like super super sweet pink-grapefruit-flavored candy than actually grapefruit.

Anyway, my SOTD was a re-test of Creed Irisia.

You know how perfume flowers are all pretty and girly, while many actual flowers smell more like green and the sweetness of lightly-rotting vegetation? Irisia smells like the actual flowers.

I get mostly pepper and indoles and a bit of green. After some of the harsh pepper burns off the top, it smells like burying your nose in an actual flower. It's not "pretty." But it smells good.

SOTD: Yeah, I know. What rock have I been under? But I'm finally doing my first test of Green Irish Tweed!

What can I say? Everyone knows this one. Neroli, lemon, orange, and some metallic ozone. Though it still has hours to go, I know it's going to dry down to the Creed base.

To be honest, I just don't like that Creed metallic note. It reminds me of Windex - not the actual smell of Windex, but the burning in your nose when you spray it.

Without that note, I would have liked this way more. But that's also what I thought of Millesime Imperial. And Neroli Sauvage. And Silver Mountain Water.

I think I have to stick to the older Creeds to get my Creed fix...
