well im going to the mall and i want to pick up 2 or 3 mainstream frangrences for under 60$

any suggestions?

This belongs in the Just Starting Out section I think, as most mainstream songs are going to run you about $50 for a 50ml (small) bottle.

Get any Montale and one Creed should do it... :@), what purpose do you want it for ? formal, casual etc.

If you want 2 or 3 frags for under $60 you cant buy it at the mall, gotta go to eBay or an online store with a coupon code. Go test them at the mall, but just 1 100mL bottle will cost you $65+ with tax.

I suggest buying online to get the best value for your money. Amazon has $10 off if you spend $59 on cologne until the end of this month. No tax and free shipping so you could get 2 $35 bottles for $60 total. A lot of the colognes are pretty cheap too, I recently bought 100ml bottles of Nautica Voyage for $19 & Burberry London for $31. A lot of popular fragrances are around the $30-35 range for the big bottles, so get 2 of those and it would be $50-60 after the promo.

What I do now that I'm an experience fragranatic is I do most of my shopping through reliable websites from the likes of Scentiments or amazon. If I can find a price cheaper on ebay, I spend some time trying to get good deals through auctions - which gets you a good deal with minimal effort. Another good choice is buying from basenotes sale forum ;0
Anyways, for a rookie on a budget, I recommend getting these (all can be found for ~$20 online):
Yves Saint Laurent Rive Gauche pour homme - great fougere
John Varvatos by John Varvatos - sweet suede
Bulgari Black - forget thats it's a unisex, its a great vanilla rubber scent
Bulgari Aqua pour Homme - one of the better aquatic scents
Mugler Cologne - unisex but an awesome citrus musk
Dior Homme and Terre d'Hermes are must haves then can be had in the $30s if you check out some of the cheap reputable onlines stores that I've mentioned
