Why doesn't Antaeus Sport get any love on here?

Man this is a good scent !!! I love this frag and deliberately wear it infrequently so it lasts a few lifetimes.

I cannot believe that I never hear ANYONE talking this juice up. All the Antaeus lovers should find some of this.

I am a big Chanel fan and I have never heard of this fragrance nor is it listed in the Basenotes fragrance directory. I am assuming that it was discontinued a long time ago and is very hard to acquire. What are the notes like? May I ask how did you acquire it?

Best,

TJ

That's simple: it's a very rare and expensive item, so we can't evaluate or love what we can't smell.

^^^^^ what he said. I love it plenty and have a precious 3ml left in a mini. Were it available I'd buy a bottle. In case people are wondering, it is very close to the original....it's got some tweaked topnotes and presents as a touch richer, but it's not radically different from Antaeus at all. As of a few months ago beautyencounter still sold minis, but they are now gone.

I have a rare Pour Monsieur flanker from the 70s called 'Pour Monsieur Cologne'. I know no one else with it. Wouldn't it seem odd if I asked why no one else liked it?

Maybe Chanel can bring it back. Sport fragrances sound really good right now. If not now, then maybe for next summer...

Didn't mean to be vague about the Sport version. It's very close to vintage Antaeus and a bit "deeper" which is odd since the name "Sport" denotes something different.

I picked some up last year from an ebay seller I use for HTF's. His juice is always good to go and after finally wearing it, I find I liked it one notch better than original Antaeus.....and I truly like the original.

It can be had, but you have to really look for it. The price is about the same you'd pay for vintage Antaeus, maybe a few bucks less.

I'm quite fond of Antaeus and I'm sure I would love the Sport version too if I ever got a chance to try it without breaking the budget completely..

I believe I paid $90 plus shipping for a 100ml bottle new in shrinkwrap.

I've never had a chance to sampling it coz i've yet to see it at the chanel counters locally... sometimes even Antaeus is missing from reputable stores like SASA

Also never heard of it.

I can find little info besides it was a flanker named Antaeus Sport Cologne, and I think the bottle was clear glass, right? It's been out of production a while. This is not out of the ordinary for Chanel, which made a Pour Monsieur Cologne flanker in the 70s.
