What excactly is Lotion vegetale ?

is this oil or perfume ?

Moreda, was it something like shea butter lotion? I think shea butter is a vegetable product as is cocoa butter.

Pinaud makes a drugstore fragrance that was once a staple fragrance used at barbershops here in the U.S. called Lilac Vegetal. Is this what you are asking about?

Lilac Vegetal is a very watered down lilac floral + vetiver fragrance that is really not bad. It does have "old man" associations - actually "ancient ancestor" memories but I have a bottle somewhere and its kind of new again just because people have ignored it for so long. It is an inexpensive, watered down, lilac water fragrance that smells green, floral and kind of refreshing.

I assume you are referring to vintage Guerlain? My understanding is those are hair lotions.

I remember getting the back of my neck rubbed Pinaud Lilas Végétal (was the name really French, or was it anglicized to Lilac Vegetal?) after the hated haircut when I was a kid. "Barbershop scent" is exactly right. Strangely enough, getting the smelly put on me almost made the haircut tolerable... or maybe it was just that it signaled the end of the ordeal...

And I think I did see it for sale not too long ago at a drugstore chain...

When I was a kid I remember seeing a wonderfully shaped bottle of Shalimar Vegetal on the vanity of one of my friend's father. Don't remember if it was lotion vegetal or not but it was definately Shalimar.

Yess , i am referring to Vintage Guerlains.

Most of what i have seen are EDT, EDC or PDT.
But sometimes i see bottles with LOTION VEGITELE Comming with the name of the Perfume.
For excample Mouchoire du monsiur Lotion vegetale, Is this Hair lotion or just waterd down MDM ?

Guerlain's Lotion Vegetale was a scented product to groom hair and beard. Not just a thinner EdC but an entirely different product with grooming qualities.
