Best Bottle (non-Niche)

Department store bottles only please. My vote goes to:

Gucci Pour Homme II - like a huge gem!

and

Body Kouros - a leather car supplement that should be attached on the front black leather seat of the Escalade

If you liked the heaviness of Gucci Ph2 bottle, you may like NR for Him as well

yes, although GPHII trumps NR for Him beyond Reason in scent composition, NR's bottle is definitely noteworthy.

**MIGHT I ADD: an atomizer is CRUCIAL! GPH2's atomizer, suffice it to say, is GREAT, and Body Kouros's atomizer is amazing as well, a huge dash of explosive spray comes out with just one small press. That's the kind of ATOMIZER i like

On the contrary, the WORST kind of atomizer is exhibited by the likes of CURVE by Liz Claiborne (just as an example). Those atomizers need to be pressed 5 times until you get a good amount out on the skin. How dare they waste our time like this.

Yes, I also love the heaviness of the Gucci PH I and II bottles. (II looks better with the textured sturdy gold cap and blue juice IMO) Great bottles. I personally prefer the bottles of the Chanel exclusifs, No. 5 and its sisters, as well as the Allure Homme family. Minimal and luxurious! Guerlain's Shalimar, Vol de Nuit, and many others from the house are also some of my favorites because of their elegant 'timeless' look.

What I don't like are 'tacky' but trendy bottles like CK Crave, Diesel Only the Brave, etc. (And of course... plain ugly stuff like Leonard pour Homme)

A bit off topic, but I had to add little "weights" to my Montale bottles to make them heavier. They're so light it sometimes feel like there's nothing left inside.
I've gotta say that John Varvatos Artisan gets my vote. And I absolutely hate rattan furniture... but on a bottle!? Not bad at all...
Solo Loewe bottle looks really simple but there's an air of classiness to it. the cap (or maybe half a cap) is unique too. Kenzo Power bottle (or flask)...sake anyone ?
JHL..Aramis. One of my favorites.
I like BK's bottle but it's easy to tip over. I like M7's sleekness and color. Kouros tatoo edition is pretty cool, and Dior eau Savage and Polo double black are also good. And I've always had a thing for A*Men and B*Men bottles.
I'll toss another vote towards GPH and GPH2, although you have to own the 100 ml size of those to truly appreciate it.

However, the winner in my book is Dior Homme. The bottle looks classy on its own but that silver metal tube inside just makes it look faaaaaantastic.
Cartier Roadster is contained in a fantastic bottle.
Oh.. L'Instant de Guerlain PH is another one. I really like substantial, heavy bottles.
I really love the herbal green of Paco Rabanne Pour homme's bottle. The printed wordings are nice too, as is the bottle shape, though I would have preferred if it came with a cap instead.

Dior Homme/sport- gorgeous, modern, and elegant.
I have always thought Givenchy Pi is a tactile stunner. Sadly I am not too enthusiastic about the fragrance.........
Cartier Declaration Essence.

Matthew Paco Rabanne is quite nice. I also think an atomizer must be great with the bottle
post #17 of 100
My favorite is Caron's L'Anarchiste - it's bold; it's fun; it's a little goth.
Personally, I think no other bottle, after all these decades, has been able to quite surpass the sheer excellence of Guerlain's Vol de Nuit bottle ! (As can be seen by my avatar !).
A perfect classic design ! ... (And I am still really quite partial to any bottle with "Deco" type stylings).
Salvatore Ferragamo PH & Salvador Dali PH. Now those are some crazy-ass bottles!
Kenzo Power

Hugh Parsons Blue

Encre Noire

Yes! Now that I think of it, that's my favorite bottle too. It's strange, but when I hear the term designer I tend to mentally exclude classic fragrances for absolutely no good reason.
RL Safari
Rive Gauche pour homme
Bvlgari Black
Encre Noir
L'Instant PH edp
L'Anarchiste
So many creative and impressive bottles out there. I'm going the other way though. You say BEST, and dept store at that. I say AdG. Simple, elegent, modern and minimal.
Givenchy Pi
I've always liked Armani Code Pour Homme.....Purple Label by RL and Antidote by Viktor and Rolf.....The new Polo Modern Reserve is also very nice.....I also like Jaipur's Edp in the metal bottle and Angel for Men......Lolita Lempicka Pour Homme is very nice.....And M7 is really nice along with L'Homme by YSL.

I actually really like L'Homme's bottle design. I just dislike the juice within.

Actually that's not fair. I don't dislike it - I just find it bland.

I think you may wish to refer to this thread here.

"One Million" by Paco Rabanne. It looks like a 24K gold bar!

(I also love the commercial for the 2008 campaign: a tribute to the modern dandy. I only wish the chap was a "sporting dandy"--athletic and active, not just fine clothes, casinos, a hot set of wheels and women.) LOL!

The YSL L'Homme bottle is also very nice and angular, with the clean planes pf glass and hexagonal cap.
Pino Sylvestre. Pine Grenade

GPH / Dior Homme nice.

Guerlain 'Bee Bottles' available at some department store counters - actually my favourite.

I think the NR for him is awesome as well!

I also like the Gucci by Gucci PH bottle too.
here's a great one that's unisex, bulgari's black,

the black part is made from rubber, it is reminiscent of a tire. and guess what, it has a cheeky note of rubber in it.

i think perfume bottles for women are much better in general. my vote goes to angel,

actually angel comes in several great designs! there's one that i like in particular, but i can't find the image. it was a limited edition pure parfum.
it's pure eye-candy! (but also a great concept, including the scent itself, the name, etc.)

I think your love of the fragrance is blinding you to just how ugly that Body Kouros bottle is. YUCK!

Some of my favorite designer bottles are

Le Roy Soleil (cheap cap, tho )
L'Anarchiste
Fleur du Male
NR for Him
Versace PH (the attention to detail on this bottle is REALLY nice, especially given the price range. Small things like the medusa head engraved into the top of the atomizer, really make all the difference).
Good to see my favorite fragrance, Gucci Pour Homme 2, with several mentions. It's great ain't it? THe bottle and the smell. I still can't believe Marshalls has it for $24.99! That's a steal. I still have more than half my bottle remaining, but I'm thinking about getting another bottle for backup.

Yup, I've always liked the Bvlgari Black "puck" as some have referred to it (although given the rubber motif it certainly does make more sense to think of it as a tire), as well the fragrance itself. Bvlgari seem to do pretty well with their bottles in general - Aqua's is also quite eye-catching.

Again, simply unbeatable. Beautiful perfection, proportionality, and vivid vitality with the unprecedented blue. Even better, the scent is unbelievable.

Oh yeah, it blows Encre Noire's CAP out of the water!

Perhaps if GPH2's "stem" of the atomizer could be a bit more aligned as evidenced in Dior Homme Sport; however, it still is amazing.
My vote goes to extremely simple and clean-cut bottles like: Armani PH, Chanel No. 5, Eau Sauvage and Gucci Envy.

BTW, is Dior Homme better or Dior Homme Sport? In smell? Anyone?
Kenzo Air, Gucci Pour Homme II, Dior Homme Sport and Givenchy Very Irresistible.

Ah yeah, most definitely on this "Noir" bottle ! ... This is the only frag that I have bought blind for the bottle alone. I, unusually, did not care two hoots if the frag was decent or not ... I just had to have that gorgeous bottle ! ... And it feels just totally awesome in your hands too !
I have been searching for a mini of this one for ages, to add to my collection (as it must look just like a lighter, I imagine ) ! ... But have unfortunately never been able to hunt one down. If anyone has any clues on this, please do let me know !

IMO, Dior Homme - no questions about it.
the original brut was wonderful!

can't find a picture, only a modern retro version,

the gucci 2 does not really excite me that much.

azarro pour homme on the other hand, very well done,

awesome iconic greatness.

They're not really comparable in terms of smell, but Dior Homme is the better smell in my book. More people would be able to "pull off" the Sport version though.
couldn't resist to post this one,

ugly and hilarious.
I take it back. I say Kouros.

was at the mall earlier and i tried it and i really liked it. it feels like you just put on a million bucks because you can "swish" the cap back on by swinging it fast in the air. its Attitude. And it smells great!! I really liked it.

zippo! isn't there another bottle that was styled as a lighter?

I think the newest Artisan by John Varvatos is just beautiful - I wish the juice inside was as good.
now that artisan bottle made me think of this.

this article explains nicely (of another bottle, prastara) why is was designed as it is.

and who knows, maybe you'll like this juice better?

Actually i take back what i said about ATTITUDE..the smell runs away in 40 mins, it is nothing. just nice bott.
I'd say Chaos (the original bottle).
And Cartier Declaration Essence bottle is fantastic to look at too..
I second John Varvatos Vintage, Bulgari Black, and Gucci Pour Homme II. I quite like A Scent by Issey Miyake.. although I'm not sure if he's niche? I'm still new and have no idea

* sorry about the huge size of the image..

Is A Scent by Issey targeted for men? What's it going to smell like?

Yes, I must say this new Issey Miyake bottle does indeed look very interesting ! ... And as far as the scent itself, I think it's gonna be a masculine scent (though I could be incorrect).

It is supposed to pay tribute to the "poetry of minimalism" (surprise, surprise, there ) ... And to be inspired by the smell of the Japanese mountains. ...
It's a woodsy-floral-green-citrus frag with notes of French Verbena, Jasmine, Galbanum (the only three notes I have been able to find for it so far !)

The bottle is pretty cool looking ! ... I really like the idea of the bottle getting "fatter" as opposed to "larger", with the different ml sizes.
