Two New Purchases Today--How'd I Do?

Thanks to another Bnoter, I was alerted to a second high-end/niche store in Seattle.

I paid them a visit today and they carried L'Artisan, Frank, Santa Maria Novella, Serge Lutens, Fresh, Carthusia, Miller et Bertaux, and are negotiating with MPG to bring their line to the store.

After much sniffing around, I ended up buying Frank #2 and Amoureuse by Parfums Delray.

I was gratified to see 7 reviews, all positive, for the latter, and a few positives and one neutral for Frank#2.

Amoureuse is really one of the most beautiful frags I've ever smelled. It MAY border on feminine, but it's marked as unisex and I was pleased to see one male Bnoter review this one. It's also quite powerful and apparently has one or two rarely used ingredients. The owner told me that this line is more popular in Europe than the US.

I also got samples of Luten's Cedre and Cypre Rouge, SMN Aqua de Cuba and Colonia Russa, and Parfums Delrae Bois de Paradis (another lovely one). The samples were all picked by me as I was THAT CLOSE to purchasing them all...but my budget objected...though they may be future purchases.

How'd I do? Anyone love, hate or feel neutral about these purchases?

I've been wanting to check Frank2 out. Tell us what you think.

Also, I'd be interested in hearing your take on SL Cedre please.

What's the store name btw ?

I've had Frank #2 for about a year and a half now, and like it. Not something I'd wear every day (I think at this point, I have enough bottles/samples to go a couple of years without wearing the same thing twice), but it has a nice feel to it.

I'm not familiar with the Parfums Delray scent, but I love Frank No. 2. It's been on my 'to-buy' list for a while and will hopefully soon graduate to the 'bought' list... especially before it ends up getting more expensive.

The store is called Essensa in the Freemont neighborhood of Seattle.

I got a compliment from the nice owner who told me she'd never met a guy with as much perfume knowledge as me!

Of course, I turned her on to Basenotes.

Prices were about what you'd expect.

By the way, I far preferred Frank #2 to the two others.
