Hello,
Im new to this site, actually been lurking the last few days to gain some experience to the science of frags. I enjoy my Penhaligons rose shaving soap and also the Edwin Jagger sandlewood shaving soap. My question has to do with what determines whether a scent is feminine or masculine? Ive ordered some samples of the c&s no. 88, Dark rose, as well as the Montale Black Aloud and Montale Original Alooud. Ive read a lot about the Amouge Homage and would like to sample that also. As you can see I favor the rose and the sandlewood a very close second. Different sites say the Amouge Homage is feminine and others say for both. Your feelings on that? Id say Im more a masculine type of guy. Been around the block and just an ordinary type of guy.
Im a man of 55 years young and would love a compliment from a younger gal on my frag . Id hope that my age doesn't restrict me to the Old Spice category, and that the younger women would appreciate a sophisticated scent on a older gent.
Also, I notice this forum has specific rules regarding the request of decants which hinders me on how to ask/acquire a split of a 100 ml bottle should I find a scent to my liking. As you all know the 100 ml bottle of Amouge Homage is a little cost prohibitive so a split would be more to my liking.
I appreciate this site very much and enjoy all the reviews and comments regarding the different fragrances. I just hope my wallet can stand up to the beating and my wife appreciates the different scents! Regards
