I live in sunny Seattle so I know those kind of things help when trying to figure out what works. These are what I have been thinking.

Something by Tom Ford..........

VETIVER GUERLAIN

Havanna ........ more of a summer cologne I am thinking

Suggestions for something modern yet masculine and classy

Any help is much appreciated.

Guerlain Vetiver and Havana (I can only speak for the original, and hope the current release is as good) are winners IMO.

No experience with Tom Ford, but I'm sure the rest will chime in

I am actually trying out F Pour Homme Black by Salvatore Ferragamo and I think it will be suitable for colder climates. Longevity and sillage seems good too. I might even get a bottle.

Dior Jules; Caron's Yatagan; Guerlain's Habit Rouge, Heritage or, perhaps, Derby and, lastly, Knize 10.

edit: can't believe I forgot the wonderful L' air du desert marocain by Andy Tauer and original Aramis,

Tobacco Vanille for the winter.

You can't go wrong with the excellent Terre d'Hermes, the soft woody and grapefruit kick is just what the doctor ordered for those fall/wintry days.

It will shortly be my number one go to daily fragrance for uni. Its perfect IMO for an office job as well.

Black Orchid for fall and winter... give it a try. I think the combination of a dark, wet, dirty note combined with a warm, rich oriental is perfect for the climate. Tobacco Vanille and Noir de Noir are good cold-weather fragrances too, but I think of TV as mostly a frosty, snowy winter fragrance than a Pacific North-West winter fragrance, and have longevity issues with NdN.

Jaïpur Homme
Santal Noble
Chêne
(go lightly!)
Derby
Dia
L'Anarchiste
Basala
Eau Lente

and...Havana - which I prefer in the wet and cold! :brolly:
