A Scent by Issey Miyake.

Thread Starter
I have been testing this for the best part of a week and am
thinking of getting a full bottle. It is fresh, green and just
impeccably well-behaved. I find it a refreshing change from all
the fruity, cloying fragrances that seem to abound at the moment.
The fresh verbena opening is delightful with a very slight acetone kick.
I also detect hyacinth and galbanum, both of which I love.

What are your opinions of this new scent? Be honest please. I am no
expert and it just appeals to the minimalist, clean side of my personality.

Here is an interesting link to a short video interview with the "nose" Daphne Bugey.

There was a thread recently, Asha gave her full impressions of this one -- and based on them -- I am more than partial to trying it.

The thread is named "Primrose".

I, too, am 'relieved' at the appearance of IM's 'Scent', never having been partial to sweet and fruities in the first place.

But, as a diehard, old skool greenie, I will give you the description I offered VM I Hate Civet on this frag. For me, this is 'Cristalle for wimps'. Or I might propose something like 'a neutered Vent Vert'.

Believe it or not, this is in fact a backhanded compliment. SO BUY IT AND ENJOY!

In addition to the Primrose thread, there is a very long thread in the Men's board:

It is worth trying, but not FBW for me. It is like Estee Lauder Pure White Linen with added galbanum.

I like it a lot. (I love Cristalle EDT, No. 19 parfum, and the old Vent Vert, and like Green-green-green-and-green and the new Vent Vert, so I guess it's no surprise that I like it.) It's not world-changing, but to my nose it's a solid _good_ scent, not pure mindless fruity sugar. That's a trend I'd like to to encourage, so I too may be buying a bottle.
