PPL,

A. Paco rabanne ultraviolet
B. Joop Jumo
C. Herrera Chic
D. Escada Magnetism
E. Bvlgari BLV ( men)
F. Givenchy Pour Homme

My preference - Long lasting, Potent, Refreshing , Distinct, All day and any occassion wear and a Head Turner

As of now i have zeroed in on Magnetism and UltraViolet .. open 2 suggestions...

Herrera Chic should be quite safe.

Welcome to basenotes !!

Sorry to disappoint but those are not "high end"

Anyway, from that list i'd pick D - Escada Magnetism. And dont blind buy. Have fun sniffin'. The next guy will tell u to go to department stores and sniff them first.

Don't blind buy.

It's too easy to go to a local store and start spraying from testers. Try a few on paper then spry one on the skin and wear it for the day and see how you like it.

OK.

Is there a reason you are limiting your selection to just those? Is it based on reviews you read or something someone told you?

Theres always perfume court you may want to try samples from first.
http://theperfumedcourt.com/ I have purchased blind and found some great ones but also some that were a big mistake.

Of your list - Magnetism should fit your description of what your looking for fairly well. I personally prefer Jump over it but its not "fresh" and gets somewhat cloying sometimes.

They all fall in the same price category plus minus a few dollars
there many others i can choose from though besides the above ..

Mont Blanc Presence,
CK eternity,
CK One Electric,
CK Truth ( though according to the reviews its better suited for older age groups ) ,
Eau De Paco Rabanne
Davidoff Zino and echo...
Acqua di GIO - Armani ( highly praised and within budget )

List is endless...

Frankly, I find it an odd list and one that does not lend itself to blind buys. I would suggest going to some of the other threads of most commented, favorites, top ten or I-would-simply-die-without-these lists and search for samples online - it's so fun to get them in the mail! Have fun!

take "refreshing" out of the equation, and you have Fahrenheit.

It's either you're gonna rethink about buying blind, or start a blind buying spree.

If you let us know the area you're in, the people here may be able to help you better.

Givenchy pour Homme (the one tht comes in red)

Good luck mate! i "enjoy" blind buys..90% of my collection is. thats how accurate basenotes fragrance reviews are. i presume you have already gone thru the reviews and have a judgement yourself...enjoy!

I quite like Herrera Chic so that gets my vote
post #19 of 24
I like Ultraviolet by P Rabanne so I have to say it gets my vote.

Since 'potent' is one of your requirements, I'd be inclined towards Joop! Jump for a blind buy.
Escada Magnetism is potent, interesting with a semblance of evolution and warmer than
Ultraviolet which is ever so linear and cold with a load of synthetic ambergris.

Both are OK, but I'd go for Magnetism.

Potent and refreshing...

Regarding your 3rd post, I just got an Eau de Paco Rabanne recently, and I really like it (though it took a wearing or two). It's nice because it serves the same purpose as the Acqua di Gios of the world, but it's potent, not as popular, and more sharply herbal with less "water". I was happy to find it online because I couldn't find it IRL. Probably cheaper than AdG also.

Looks like a ' Magnetism VS Givenchy pour homme ' ...

how do these 2 compare ?

Givenchy pour homme was FIFI award winner in 2002 , is it that good and apt for 20-30 yr age group ?
Never smelled the Givenchy, but Magnetism is a sweet, fruity, soda-smelling scent that girls in your age group will definitely find attractive.
