Yohji Yamamoto files for Bankrupcy!

Did anyone see this coming? I guess Yohji Homme is gone for good now.
Yohji is one of my favourite clothes designers, so this is not good news... Oh well.

Even the house of Chanel had to resort to a ridiulous barnyard runway to attract attention and sales. These are cruel days for creativity.

Thankfully, I've backed up Yohji Homme. I may want to grab a bottle or 2 more.

Sad news....

Another one bites the dust. Too bad LVMH and the other big big players will emerge even more powerful from this mess.

Ouch..

What a shame. I liked their Yohji Homme AND their clothes and shoes.

Not surprising. His prices in the US are ridiculous. Like $1000 for hightops. Who buys that shit?
Wow! Yamamoto, Lacroix, Escada, who's next?
Lacroix and Escada? wow, why didnt Itake any notice of this?
Its a shame, really, however Johji Homme was discontinued already anyways, hu?

Is the discontinued Yohji worth a bottle?
I saw one today at a small perfumery shop here in the Phils, away from the main mall. The old SA probably doesn't know it's discontinued and may be worth a pretty penny for those in the know hehe.
Should I pick it up?
It's either that or Monsieur Balmain, which isn't widely available here in the Phils. as well

Yohji Homme (the tall, thin cylindrical bottle) is definitely discontinued.
It's a gourmand somewhat on the same lines of A*men....

I bought it blind since I loved A*men but it didn't rock my boat.....It's a bit too harsh for me...Unless you are into gourmands and love chocolate/coffee scents, you can stay away from it...

Time for an Arab sheikh to bail these companies out ..
Ive yet to try Yohji homme , maybe I will never get the chance but would love to .

As for the clothes , they are amongst some of the best hand finished , well constructed garments Ive ever experienced

You insist on pushing the envelope.

That is sad. I loved the ladies scents, they stood out of the crowd with their weird and wonderful beauty.

I've got a line on some Yohji Homme testers if anyone is interested. Last bottle I got for someone was around $40 CAN. Pretty much free for Americans

This news is sad indeed.....Gary

Eeek. I hated A*men. Too strong, too brash for me. The only designer gourmand that piqued my interest was Givenchy Very Irresistible for Men (green bottle) and lately A*Men Pure Coffee (love coffee, love Pure Coffee - mocha and soft chocolate, not a tar-chocolate bitchslap...and not so expensive too).

Unfortunately there are no testers in this perfume shop, and there are only single bottles available (one for Yohji, one for Monsieur Balmain...)...so blind buying is inevitable.

Seems the only plus sides for me is it being discontinued and not a lot of people here in the PH are familiar with it...I can always give it another chance later if if its not for me now hehe so fickle -- need to give it more thought. Next time I go back to that perfume shop I better buy something, coz the old SA is already giving me the "what-you-again-you-fragrance-freak-weirdo" look I'll prolly pick up the discontinued Liz Claiborne for Men (saw some minis 10-deep) so I can continue to hang out there hehe
