Guerlain testers?

OK, these testers....I've never seen this shape, nor have I seen extrait-strength testers before. (But, then, none of these frags are available in-store near me)

Ebay auctions for Guerlain Parfum Testers

Anyone know if this is potentially authentic, and if so, when were/are these in action?

I have two of these testers; Samsara and Vol de Nuit. Both are perfectly fine. This type of tester is still in production afaik, so these may very well be 100% authentic.

I have this one & I evidently paid too much! It's really nice. There is nothing wrong with it. I'd go for it if I needed one. I have all the Guerlain extraits I need at the moment.

For some inexplicable reason the Guerlain counter at my local department store only has extrait testers like that for certain frags. Jicky, VdN and something else. I think it used to be Nahema but I believe it's something else now.

So, yeah, I've seen then them before.

wait...what? It that even possible?

I seem to have jumped the gun. Jicky, Vol de Nuit, L'Huere Bleu I think that's all. Besides the Chamade tester. Nahema just didn't do it for me.

Oh, the Chamade tester is calling my name. Good price compared with over $300 for 1 oz.

Those are definitely the extrait testers, for their classics. If I had the budget for it right now, I'd be all over that Mitsouko for $125. That's less than half price, even if you don't get the cool bottle.

Though I have to admit I was a bit disappointed when I found out they're not sold in the little cube bottles, which I think are quite cute...

Yes, I see these bottles all of the time at my Nordstroms.

My Jicky and Vol de Nuit are both in these cube bottles, which I actually sort of like.

It is more common to find Mitsouko, Shalimar and Jicky in this form on eBay. Vol de Nuit and Chamade are much more rare, so I would expect that their ending bids will be much higher than they are right now.

These are the only extrait tester bottles I've ever seen, in fact. I quite like them - but then I generally like minimalism in design.

I saw a Jicky EdT tester like that (rectangular) at a Dillard's earlier this year. Of course, they didn't actually have any in stock.
