This is the closest Ive come to it: Kenneth Cole EDT (now discontinued, but still available here and there if you hunt hard).

Versace man Fraiche

The problem with some of these suggestion is that, in my humble opinion, none of them are nearly as good as Issey. KC New York, for example, is very synthetic and has a cheap, chemical, woody note that can be irritating. Versace Man Fraiche and L'eau Par Kenzo don't have the potency or longevity of Issey. Sometimes, its best to live with the popular brand and get what you want rather than trying to find a substitute. Just my thoughts - hope they were helpful.

Agua de Loewe y Loewe is an excellent replacement. actually, i find it much better than L'eau d'Issey.

I doubt if a Loewe is cheaper though.

Btw I would second timkm1 - often a substitute is simply not as good and you'll end up not using it as often as you should. Just save up a little more and get that L'eau d'Issey.

Fujiyama Homme is very similar (blatant copy?), and can usually be found much cheaper.

Lasting power is only about 3 or 4 hours though, in comparison to Issey's well above average staying power.

If you like Issey, wait till you can afford it.

I'm a little played out on it, but it is a fantastic scent. "Epic" as someone else said.

Ressurecting this thread, I've decided there's something just too offputting in my L'eau D'Issey, so I'm going to order Agua de Loewe. Can anyone comment on how big the 5.1oz bottle is? Is it awkwardly big, I have large hands, but the cone shaped bottle may be strange in 5.1oz.

I see Agua de Loewe to be a good replacement for Bulgari Green Tea - but it nowhere has the marine notes of L Eau d Issey.

Its worth paying extra for - 12 hours + longevity so you'll use half as much as anything else.
