The EdP version is the new, reformulated Tabac Blond. If you want to get vintage stuff (which is gorgeous!!) try to find the EdT or Parfum/Extrait in classic urn bottles and white boxes.

I'm looking all over the world for the extrait since some months. I have seen 30ml (1oz) go for more than 500.00 US Dollars on eBay. That is so expensive that I honestly can't believe it.
I have to work for my income you know .....

Fortunately, the current extrait is still pretty close to what it used to be. That can't be said of the EdP.

Some hours ago there was the auction end on eBay.com for 30ml Tabac Blond extrait.
Price: 850 US Dollar

Those prices are ridiculous! Try to get it directly from Caron. Two or three years ago I bought a bottle via phone and had no problems. I can´t remember the price tags, so ask them.

I wish it were so, but in reality the new extrait has not much to write home about. It sadly reminds those who have known the old one well (as recently as 2004, mind you!) of the downfall that must have happened in 2005-06. That's why Turin (who had always been praising TB ) gave it one star only in Perfumes The Guide.
