Non 80's frags, which smell like 80's powerhouse

Thread Starter
Which male frags, although not elaborated or first released in the 80, smell either similar or somewhat reminding of powerhouse.
One non-80's frag immediately come to my mind:

Ungaro III (1993)

Any other suggestions would be welcomed

It's a big fragrance. Longevity + sillage.

It actually reminds me a lot of Lapidus pour Homme.

I was thinking the same thing! M7 makes me think of go-go but not terribly fashion-conscious financial worker drones stalking around the office with their jackets off and male-bonding at the water cooler. Raquetball at 5:30 sharp, don't be late.

Editions de Parfums Bois d'Orage (2007) - Perfumer: Pierre Bourdon (Kouros, etc)

It has the feel of so many late-70's, early-80's mossy-herbal aromatics. Indeed, that was Frederic Malle's intention.

Fragrances in the (more or less) classic tradition, mainly fougéres and orientals, with powerful projection/sillage and distinctive compositions. Think BIG.

They are opposite most of the polite and generic "fresh" fragrances with notes of sea/air/melons/clean musk and cedar that have dominated since the 90's.

No one seems to have mentioned YSL's Jazz Prestige (maybe too obvious). Its definitely a powerhouse fragrance modeled after the original Jazz but it has a minty, apple note in the top notes. It kinda progresses very similar to Salvador Dali (1987) with a very herbal start transitioning through a rose-heavy middle and finishing with leather and woods. A winner if you can find it.
