Hi guys.

New here at the forums, but can anyone suggest a good summer fragrance with good longevity and sillage?

Thanks

Issey Miyake L'Eau d'Issey Pour Homme

absolutely insane longevity and sillage for that type of scent. check it out in the database.

Versace Pour Homme, Chanel Allure Homme Sport, Bulgari Aqua and Caroline Herrera 212 Men are the some summer scents that have good to very good longevity and sillage.

I second this. Id also add Azzaro Chrome; Ck One but with triple the longevity and sillage. Bvlgari Aqua is good too but not quite the monster that Issey is!

+3 Leau D'Issey Pour Homme
+1 Bulgari Aqua & Chrome

Ferre's Bergamot Marino comes to mind.

Joop Jump , Chanel Allure Edition Blanch ( Homme Sport ) , Versace PH , +4 Leau D'Issey PH
post #12 of 38
+5 Issey

I kind of hate it anymore as one the first fresh, light scents that began a shift away from some of the heavier power frags.

But it is does what it does as good or better than just about anything. Women like it on men. A classic and a winner for what you seek.

+1 Alure Sport

awesome stuff guys thanks, one question, what does anyone think of A*men and A*men pure malt for summer? and what's their longevity?
NO and NO , if you wear A*men in 30C you will be sick and everyone around you . Longetivity of A*men is great about 12h, it colud last on your skin like forever , and you don't need that as summer scent , read what we all wrote as sugestions , and than test some of those , do not buy blind especialy heavy scents .

Listen to the IgorBg! No gourmands and orientals during warm weather! There are few orientals that could be worn during summer but only one spritz, no more, but as far as I know there are NO gourmands that you may pull off during warm summer days, if I'm wrong someone more experienced will tell.

My summer advices:

Versace Pour Homme
Davidoff Cool Water
Calvin Klein One, IN2U Pop Him
Calvin Klein Man (all year around frag)
Azzaro Chrome, Chrome Legend
Azzaro Silver Black (all year around fragrance!)
Bvlgari Aqua
Joop! Jump!
Salvatore Feragammo Tuscan soul (unisex, but a bit more masculine if you ask me)
Hugo Boss Hugo (all year around frag)
Hugo Boss Boss Bottled (all year around fragrance)
Terre d'Hermes
Ungaro III (all year around frag)
Lancome Hypnose (a bit classy, an oriental fougere and can be pulled off during summer night - one spritz is enough)
Kenzo Pour Homme (to me not very fresh, but great summer classic)

Two vetivers I can think of: Guerlain Vetiver and Tom Ford Grey Vetiver.
I was going to add vetivers to the conversation, and insomniac beat me to it with two good ones. Nice.

I would like to add some wonderful citrus scents, a few "fresh" vetivers along with some great compositions that just wear so well in warm weather on me:

Citruses:

Eau de Rochas Pour Homme
Eau Sauvage Fraicheur Cuir
Armani Eau Pour Homme (Vintage)
Monsieur Balmain
YSL Pour Homme (Vintage)
YSL Pour Homme Haute Concentration
Essenza di Colonia Acqua di Parma
Boucheron by Boucheron

"Fresh" Vetivers (but not without depth/substance):

Adolfo Dominguez Vetiver Hombre
Comme Des Garcons - Vettiveru (great longevity, light sillage...but wonderful!)
Malizia Vetyver

Warm weather scents (many are year-round):

Oscar for Men by Oscar de la Renta
Eau Paco Rabanne
CK Escape
CK Eternity (Vintage)
Francesco Smalto Molto Smalto
Moschino Uomo?
Yves Rocher Nature Homme
Faconnable Faconnable for Men
Gandini 1896 Grapefruit & Citrus
Gandini 1896 Lime & Basil

Cheers,

ericrico

The 2009 summer edition of L'Eau D'Issey.
Smells a lot nicer, and lasts just as long.
