Does Terre d'Hermes get faked?

Hey there all,
Thinking of buying my cousin a nice bottle of Terre d'Hermes for a particularly special occasion. I'm happy to pay giant Australian markups on perfume when they go to pay excellent sales assistants (see: Le Labo). Unfortunately I caught one of the sales assistants at my nearest Myer trying to sell Sean John Unforgivable to a lady who came in wanting something like Old Spice for her 70 year old dad. So I don't want to give them any money.

So how about ebay? Anyone been sold a fake Terre d'Hermes on ebay?

Thanks!

I imagine it is, being one of the more popular men's scents globally.

Same old rule stands - if the deal is too good to be true, it usually is. Check feedback, etc. on Toolhaus.org or buy from a trusted discounter.

I imagine getting the bottle exactly right would be an issue.

Nick,

You have accepted the fact that you're going to pay $100 for 100ml; (or $150 for the 75ml Parfum); now just find a shop assistant worthy of your attention.

1) DJs ?

2) the Hermes boutique on Elizabeth Street ?

3) other of your choice ?

4) the prettiest girl at the local Perfume Empire (the Dr's own personal recommendation)
