Anyone ever use these guys? Reliable and trustworthy?

Thanks.
I've dealt with them about four or five times and never had a problem.

Very reliable and trustworthy!

I live close to their brick and mortar store. They're friendly and knowledgeable.

Order with extreme confidence!

Pretty good store overall - prices aren't that great though. Customer service is good but not fantastic considering their prices.

I dealt with them one time, and that was one time too many for me.

I purchased at full retail price a 8.5 oz flacon of Creed Santal Imperial from them. Typically, the flacon leaked in transit. They confirmed, what I understood to be the case, that Creed flacons frequently leak in transit. I asked to return it and to receive a refund. They said they would be glad to refund me the price of the bottle if I paid for the return shipping. I told them that I believed that if they knew there was a high likelihood that Creed flacons leaked, then they should pay for the return shipping, and they should take it up with Creed instead of shipping the flacons and expecting the buyer to take the risk that the flacon would not leak. They disagreed insisting that if I wanted a refund, I would have to pay for return shipping. I told them that I was not happy with that and that they would lose my custom over the return shipping charge, which they seemed happy to do. I returned the bottle; I paid for return shipping; they refunded me the cost of the flacon; they lost my custom. It's not like there aren't other e-retailers or retailers, who don't value their customers. I haven't had anything to do with them since.

I purchased another 8.5 oz flacon of Santal Imperial, for about $25.00 less than what they charged at Parfums Raffy, soon after, from Neiman Marcus, who actually called the Creed shop in Paris,
while I was in the store, and ordered a new bottle to be flown in for me. No charge on the air freight. It came in about 5 days. I picked it up from the store in perfect condition and received a bunch of top end samples to boot. So much for Parfums Raffy.

scentemental

P.S. My experience might not be representative, but it was my experience and it was not a good one.

ordered once with no problems
I've ordered twice. Like scentemental, I had to pay shipping back over a bottle as well. I don't like their shipping method as both times, it took a really long time to get to me.

Edit: To say something positive, their staff is friendly and knowledgeable. I've had good conversations with Matt.

Trustworthy, yes - they're not fly by nights. But I've had a couple of issues with them. One is that they don't update their website very often, and there are often mistakes in the listings, or items long out of stock, that don't get corrected until you have a snafu with trying to order those very things. The other is that the last couple of packages I ordered from them were very hastily and sloppily packaged - as if someone was running to beat the UPS deadline and slung the bottles into a box with some tissue paper.

I go to their brick and mortar store all the time. Very good and authentic. Very nice family too. The mom and dad are always there and fun to speak to.

What a shame. I had good service with the few times I have bought from Raffy. I agree that the prices are not the best, but they do have some hard-to-finds.

I recall an online vendor who sent me a totally different set of items than what I ordered. (I think the items were mislabelled.) I called customer service and they said I should ship back the incorrect merchandise and they would refund the shipping when it arrived. I also requested the correct items to be shipped to me in the meantime since it was their error (and it was a gift) and they refused! They said they would not ship until they received the wrong merchandise in the return! Such bad-faith customer practices! (This was some years ago, so I hope that they have changed their ways!) Needless to say, I do not shop there anymore...

I know some companies will ship immediately if merchandise is damaged and include a postage-paid return label in the mail forthe return. I am happy to say that Smallflower Apothecary does this!

I've been getting a message lately from my security (Kaspersky) that their website security is not up to date and that I am warned not to visit their site. Does anyone else have this issue when ordering with them? I may just try calling. I'm glad to hear they are brick and mortar and have been around for awhile. Always like to support "mom&pop" stores when I can.

The gay dude who always helps me there is knowledgeable, helpful, and just awesome in general.....only better customer service than Parfums raffy is Luis at the creed boutique IMHO.

I had a large Creed splash bottle once and sold it. I wrapped it tightly with cling wrap and it worked out fine. You would think a company like Creed (or PR) could figure this out! LOL.

They sent me an EDT instead of the EDP I ordered. Answered my first e-mail on Saturday saying they would check stock to do an exchange, but haven't heard back since then. The website says you have three days to return it at your own expense but I am wondering if this is true in the case where it was their mistake? They aren't answering the phone, either.

Glad I did not spend a lot.

+1 on this. Perfectly put.

Sorry to hear this, Hazel. You need to send them an e-mail and reference this forum. Online e-tailers need to know that, yes, customers do talk among themselves.

Report back what happened, as this is clearly the mistake of the vendor.

Yes. They are a reputable business and have a nice selection of fragrances. The only problem I had with them was with a return (Amouage Dia in an unopened package). They said they would credit my account, but the gentleman I talked to "forgot" to complete the refund and it took several weeks to resolve the matter. In the end, all was fine and I would shop there again. My goal is to buy from small businesses whenever I can.

Since my previous post two years ago I have ordered from them many times and they continue to provide excellent service. At least that has been my experience.

I may just keep my EDT, because my time is also worth money. It's not a tragedy. I had been on the fence about a FB of Midnight Poison, and they have it for 69.99. I then got the Black Friday discount on that, so 60 bucks. I never see a 3.4 ounce Dior EDP for 60 dollars. The EDT is Bulgari Rose Essentielle. I can still use it and it was 40 dollars. I suspect the best price on EDP would be more like 50 dollars so maybe they are reluctant to do the exchange if they even have the EDP in stock. I would have gladly exchanged it for Black and told them to keep the change but the outlook for actually getting in touch with these folks doesn't look good.

When I called again this afternoon, the phone was beeping off the hook. I'm not really upset but probably won't order from them again.

The Raff has always been quick with my orders, and I don't have to start new threads on basenotes with photos asking if what I just bought from ebay is real.
Just received Aventus from them in under a week to NZ from the time of order in well packaged box with low declared customs value. Couldn't have been better. I'll be definitely be buying from them again.

Since starting this thread two years ago, I have purchased from these guys on several occasions, and have always had a great experience.
For the record, they did get back to me to day and offer to replace the item.

+1 these guys are very reliable.

It'd be nice to have the basenotes 10% discount again, I noticed on my last order it's somehow been reduced to 5%.

Raffers.. hook me up with my own personal 10% code, we don't even have to tell the rest of these mouth breathers.

When I first got heavy into Creed about 12 years ago, Raffy was my supplier of choice. Prices were not that great, but he was always reliable and the goods were authentic. I have good memories of dealing with the Rafster.
