Will decide at the last moment, but SL Arabie, Five O'Clock au Gingembre and Fille en Aiguilles are strong candidates.

Caron Nuit de Noël or Poivre might be a black horse...

Still undecided, but the finalists most likely to be chosen include Ungaro III, Antaeus, Gucci Envy,
Knize Ten or Rive Gauche PH
Coco edp, vintage Opium (femme) edt, or Bal a Versailles edt for xmas eve

I'm thinking vintage Arpege extrait for xmas day. Or maybe Mitsouko edp layered with Gucci ph (original).

These rich and opulent "ladies" scents are definitely my winter obsession.

For Christmas Eve, my usual for the past couple of years has been Caron Nuit de Noël. It's not just the name. The scent puts me in a quiet, yet festive mood.

As for Christmas Day, well... That changes from year to year. The only SotD thread I could find for me for 25 December was 2007; that day I wore Clive Christian X for Men. I don't think I've worn it since, or at least I can't find any other post of mine referencing it as a SotD.

Earlier this year, I got Guerlain Chamade in pure parfum. Maybe I'll wear that. We'll just have to wait and see...

Gucci Pour Homme II..............would be a good choice

Guerlain Spiritueuse Double Vanille, for sure

Amouage Jubilation XXV -- it's under the tree!
givenchy pi or hopefully-creed virgin island water if santa is good to me
post #40 of 93
I have decided to go with -
Xmas Eve - L'Air du Desert Marocain.
Xmas Day - Green Irish Tweed.
Boxing Day - Chergui.
I believe in the sweet smell of beeswax candles on the tree. We may burn a little incense, oudh, and the traditional fir and pine branches.
That leaves no space for perfume .

If we go out (on the 25th-26th) it might be Polo (original green) or Avignon. Polo is so good marching through the snow and forest.
Avignon is best for the church which has never seen much of me in the past and will see me less in the furture.
Merry Christmas to Basenoters who still believe in this mega event.

To all others - Happy warming of the
hearts and our planet !
(the latter with a much better chance to be realized.)
Something different ( for me). Perhaps some C&S Dark Rose or, I don't know....even Thierry Muglers A*Men ( that seems Christmas-sy). Something with good projection, at least.

If the weather was warmer, I would maybe take out my vial of Paco Rabanne Tenere. But who am I kidding, it is not going to be warm . I could just spray it and admire it.

Forgot, Merry Christmas to all here !
On Christmas day, either Zirh Ikon or Burberry London (I've already committed to wear Kouros on Christmas eve)!
I am happy to see so many pick Arabie. I just love it! However, I only wear it in hot weather. It just smells so good when you are out in the sun.

As for Christmas eve, I am wearing Burberry London!

Christmas Day...? I am hoping to get a bottle of Havana. If I do, that is what I will be wearing the rest of the day.

The day after Christmas I have another party to go to. Perhaps I will get samples of Heritage and BdP for Christmas. Then It will be a tough decision.
I was thinking Messe de Minuit on Christmas Eve and Encre Noire on Christmas Day.
Hopefully Dior Homme if santa is good to me
post #47 of 93
Christmas Eve : B*Men
Christmas Day : Solo Loewe
Mitsouko: I wear it whenever family is around since I figure its inoffensive, classic, and always beautiful.

I will stick with Caron Nuit de Noël for Christmas Eve.

I have thought of two others for Christmas Day that would be possible: Houbigant Aperçu or The Different Company Sel de Vétiver. It will depend on whether I want to go floral chypre or modern vetiver. Still considering... Maybe other options will come up before Friday morning...
This has been a hot festive season thus far with no humidity and temps of up to 41ºC, so Christmas day will find me in a rapidly evaporating cloud of Monsieur Balmain.
It's contingent upon the weather.
If it's slightly cooler I'd perhaps go for C&S No. 88 or it's warm I could well pick Creed SMW.
Xmas eve.....Burberry London....no doubt.
Xmas day.....212 Men...
