What non-niche scent is similar to L'Artisans Timbuktu?

I've been trying to get my grubby paws on a bottle of Timbuktu for a while now, but didn't quite manage. What easier to obtain designer scent is similar to Timbuktu? If you have a niche recommendation, fire away as well.

Caveat: I mean 'similar' as in Cool Water / GIT, Halston Z-14 / TF Italian Cypress kinda similarity. No carbon copy necessary.

Gucci Rush for Men has a similar feel in my opinion.

I can't think of one off hand. Why not call 212-904-7910 (it is a shop in NYC that carries L'Artisan) and order it. They will send it by mail-- that is how I got my bottle. They are also great about sending samples along with your order. Ah, sorry, I just noticed where you are located. Bad idea for a phone call. Sorry.

Oh, I sampled Timbuktu already, thanks for your suggestion. And I love it.

But I was just wondering what other scents are similar to it, as I can't say out of the top of my head. Yeah, well, I think Dzongkha is a bit stronger but similar, but I was wondering what else.

Celine Fever, but it's not as bone dry, which is why I can actually wear it !
