Fragrances similar to M7??

I really enjoy M7 and it's one of those scents that really grew on me. Is there any scents similar to M7 (with price being important, no $100+ niche please) preferably with more amber than the oud note.

The base of M7 and the base of Encre noire have more than a thing or two in common.

And Encre Noir is purer, more natural, without the medicinal blast of M7.

M7 is pretty darn unique. I'm having a hard time thinking of anything similar from a designer-fragrance house. The only one I can think of is Saffron/Amber/Agarwood/Cardamom by Korres, which is pretty similar, with less oud and more amber. As others have said here before, it smells like a lighter, more natural version of M7. I personally like both, but slightly prefer M7.

The Korres one sounds like what you're seeking (I haven't tried it), but do you really want just a slight variation on the M7 theme? Instead, I would suggest something like Rochas Lui, where you have the strong neroli up top with the interplay between vanilla and cedar in the base (the neroli hangs around and plays its part too). I try to avoid having two or more frags that are very similar, because I then come to prefer one over the other and never wear the one that I find to be slightly inferior.

I haven't tried the Korres either, but in my experience there isn't much that's like M7. There are some scents that integrated the oud note too (I'm lovin' Habit Rouge edp in that camp, but it doesn't smell like M7) but nothing I've come across that really kicks the smell of M7 up from my memory banks to compare.

If it's the amber you'd like played up I think you might be happier seeking ambers to try out. It's really very hard to find a scent that is very like another with the ingredient dials slightly shifted according to one's preference, but heck, can't hurt to smell around.

Serge Lutens - Ambre Sultan is quite similar to my nose, quite expensive though

The nearest scent to Tom Ford's (at YSL) M7 is Tom Ford's (Private Collection) Oud Wood. Unless you are looking for any sub-$100 that at least contains oud, it is not likely you will find a close match. Designer-frag-wise, M7 is unique.

The Korres suggestion is a sound one - I own it and sold off my M7 as a result
It also goes for a very reasonable €45 for 100ml

M7 definitely stands alone in the sub $100 category (in niche there's some similar Montales, Lutens, Goutals, and Nasomatto Duro is like nuclear-parfum strength M7 supossedly).

But if you want to forgo the oud and just get a vetiver-amber there are a few options. Molinard's Habanita gives you vetiver-amber with the addition of tobacco, leather, and florals. Rochas Lui has a woody vetiver-amber feel. Herrera for Men Sensual Vetiver gets great reviews but I haven't tried it. There are plenty of niche vetiver-ambers as well.

Cruel Intentions by Kilian smells like M7 and Ysl NU....

Although the oud and amber notes are nearly or entirely absent from this frag, in addition to the fact most people deny any similarity between these two, for some odd reason, I always perceived Gucci Envy for Men to have several notes resembling M7, even though anyone would try to convince me they smell entirely different, I just can't help myself sensing a certain (although not very pronounced, actually rather marginal) similarity between these two.
