Hmmm.
Sometimes I wonder if we're gonna break the current record of "Most users ever online: 635, 30th August 2007 at 09:06 AM"

I think there are about 435 online at the time of this posting

Manuel...I am glad to see I am not the only one who's observed this........

I also make it a point to see the number of users and if we are anywhere close to beat that record.
I'd love to see the board hit past the 1000 mark.

I'm surprised it hasn't already been broken, considering the consistent growth this site has been experiencing (right??).

Was there some specific event or circumstance that may have caused the 2007 record?

I've pondered the same exact thing. Just out of curiosity I'm gonna try to look back in the archives to that day.
Haa!! I'm supposed to be doing paperwork right now! I am THE definition of a procrastinator!

I'm doing my part... i'm on all day!

I was not active back in August 2007 so I have no clue what was going on at the time. Basenotes has had larger media attention in the past. Maybe it co-insided with a magazine or newspaper article?

I guess we might break this record easily, even unintentionally, since the fragrance world still has so many wonderful, surprising and inspiring events, novelties in store, which will sooner or later attract a lot of attention here on Basenotes.

I have been on a lot today because it's my first day off in yonks -greedily devouring Basenotes and lovin' it. I hope Basenotes breaks the old record soon.
