Azzaro, Pure Cedrat

Bitter citron peel, a bit of pencil shavings cedar, and salty waxy musk.
Not a show-stopper, but that's fine for offices and classrooms.

L'Heure Bleue (new EdP) by Guerlain

Inspired by Strollyourlobster's thread about LhB, I decided to give a full wearing (for the 2nd time) to the 'new' EdP of this juice (compared to the vintage Parfum de Toilette I also own). It isn't bad, in fact it's quite acceptable for this Guerlain fan, and if it was the only formulation of LhB I could obtain, I'd own it - but it lacks a discernible wide-angle top note of iris that the vintage has. It smells less like a pastry and more like a fragrance. I actually prefer the pastry effect. Nonetheless, it's still as melancholy as all get up.

SotD: Dior Homme
SotE: Fragonard F!

F! boasts "Juniperberry, black pepper, verbena and bergamot sparkle on a heart of nutmeg, clove, and guaiacum wood all on a background of amber, cedar wood, leather and patchouli". The opening black reveals there's also some menthol at work, to the point that I was reminded of Icy-Hot or those mentholated Hall's cough drops. Well, the way I see it, I already have M7 to take care of my cough medicine desires. Once it settled down it was a nice herbal scent, but just this side of generic. This is my first experience with Fragonard and it's a bit of a misstep. I'm hoping I'll find something in the future to balance out this. Average goin' on middling.

Quite bored with Fragonard F! so I moved on to a formula that Diana and I created that had yet to be tested. Not bad!

Top: Peppermint
Mid: Fir Needle, Patchouli
Base: Spruce, Virginia Cedar, Vetiver

Will probably revisit this one and polish it up now that I've got some master's chemicals.

Mugler Cologne, I had a doctor's appointment. If I had known the nurse taking my measurements and blood pressure was cute and my doctor was just reading off a clipboard, I'd at least put on a spritz of Dreamer. Haha.
