Animale Animale for Men Please Help

Hello,

I ordered a bottle on the strength of some very favourable reviews here. I like the scent but it has a strangely potent tar note that makes it less gourmandy that I'd imagined. Could anyone please kindly tell me if it it off? I got it from fragrancex.com and the box was sealed.

I expected a chocolate accord, and the tar note seems dominant. Let alone after 30 minutes I can barely smell anything.

Any reflections welcome.

Kind regards,

I don't get a tar note from it but there is a slight burnt note and maybe it's coming across as something strange like tar note to you? I don't think you'd get a tar note if it had gone bad.
If you have access to a store that carries it (like Perfumania, etc.) you might want to test their bottle and compare.

Thank you!
Living in Poland, I have a very limited access to anything fragrant, you know. The market here is dominated by big brand names....
Burnt note, a newbie to the world of frags, that's exaclly how I would call it.
Still, contrary to the reviews, I cannot smell chocolate at all.
Is there a way for me to see if it's gone bad by checking the symbols on the box and/or the bottle??? Could you please help? I'd be much obliged.
Respect,
P

I've worn it for about three hours and it's gone completely.

Never again in my life will I buy a perfume I cannot test.

I mean, is it possible that I received a defective product? Seemingly so. The problem is, I cannot return it.

Sorry to bother you guys.

Regards,
P

Animale Animale I feel has less to do with gourmond of Angel Men with it's very sweet chocolate and caramel. Animale Animale is more in line with Angel for women where you get patchouli tobacco.
