Demeter Cinnamon Bark.

I blind bought a bottle of Demeter Cinnamon Bark that I hope will be a good layering tool with heliotrope and amber. I wonder if anyone has tried this fragrance and has an opinion of it's cinnamon-like qualities?

Lots of reads but no replies. Does this mean I am going to be the first of us to try this fragrance? Someone must have tried this already. Don't be shy.

At Demeter prices, it should be one of the less-risky blind-buys out there.

Galamb_Gorong; That is what I thought too. I am hoping for the best that it will make a good layering agent.

Hey, I was hoping to see an opinion on this, since I'm on a 'cinnamon bark' phase myself.. But I have no prior experience with Demeters so I'm hesitant to blind-buy one.

I'm interested too. N_Tesla, we are living vicariously through you (and your wallet).

Those who "are living vicariously through me an my wallet" will be well advised of the merits or lack thereof as soon as it arrives. Unfortunately the place I ordered it from waited an additional day to send out my second day by air delivery (yes, I am a bit peeved at Parfum1 for dropping the ball) so, it won't be here till Monday. Check back for information. The Demeter site says it is unsweetened natural cinnamon bark smell. If so, I will be happy. BTW the Molinard Heliotrope arrived on time and well packaged from Beauty Encounter and is wonderful stuff.

Mikeperez23; Mike, the Cinnamon Bark arrived. It is definitely not sweet cinnamon but rather pungent and reminds me more of cloves intially then settles down to a raw cinnamon without much depth. Somewhat disappointed, I am. However, the Molinard Vanille is tres bon and very, very vaniilla. I am pleased with the Moliard. I must say though that the bottles design reminds me of a tomb stone, spartan and heavy glass.

That description of Cinnamon Bark, actually sounds good to me (I love raw cinnamon and/or cloves). Is the longevity as short as most Demeters? Is it a synthetic cinnamon bark accord (aldehydic, sharp, razor-like?)
