Molinard Senteur Soliflores.

I am gathering bottles of the Molinard soliflores in order to experiment with layering for unique fragrances. If anyone else has done this your experiences would be appreciated by myself and I am sure by other readers as well.

I wouldn't say Soliflorres, but I do own the Musk. Actually got it in a swap long ago. Its a simple but very wearable musk in the style of say Coty Wild Musk or the old Body Shop one.

I do own a few Molinards and they are great for layering - I have Vanille, Bois Precieux, Fleurs de Figuier, (Nirmala as well) , okay not really soliflores, but I think Molinards are great alone or layered with other things to emphasize a certain note.

I have read good things about Fleur de Figuier, must get some. I have the Molinard Amber and, if you like l'Artisan's Ambre Extreme, the Molinard is totally comparable for a fraction of the price.

The bottle of Vanille by Molinard showed up today adding to my collection of Ambre, Heliotrope, Ambre, Musc and Nirmala. I rather think that a combination of these would be appealing. Time for a little experimentation I would say. I think acquiring the Fleur de Figuer will be next.

Fleur de Figuier is quite nice, it's very well balanced. Philosykos is all green fig leaves, where as Molinard has just a touch of fig flower, green fig leaves, sweet, milky fig fruit, and a touch of powderiness that dry fig leaves have.

I just wanted to bump this, having become interested in Molinard's soliflores. Inexpensive, produced since the 19th-century (and from Grasse, so possibly decent quality materials), and meant to be layered rather than worn au solitaire - interesting! Does anyone have any more information, or personal experiences that they would share?
